When opportunity knocks, how will you respond? Change can be difficult, it can be hard to accept and you may be tempted to resist it. But with change always comes opportunity. A chance to better yourself, and those around you. Sure, there will be risks, and you may fail and fall flat into a six foot grave. But you should still go for it. If you have the aptitude, the dedication, and the patience to strive for greatness in this life we live, you need to go for it.

Recently our world has been shaken to it's core by two men who have pushed the envelope and brought unprecedented change out of a world of darkness and despair. Old values have been reawoken and different virtues are now valued over what has been desired by the top dogs in the past. You don't like how things are being run? You think you can make a difference in this world? You're completely free and capable of doing whatever it is you like. The cities are no longer "owned" by the man with the biggest gun. They no longer lie dormant and empty for months on end with no potential suitor in sight other than the occasional schmuck tossed into one to be removed at a later date. You can go out and make a name for yourself, you can be the change you want to see in the world. 

My ancestors would have killed for this kind of chance. Shit - they did. There has never before been a time where the world was this open, this free. And sadly, we may never see it like this again. When, inevitably, this regime falls - as all others have before it - things will probably go back to the way they were. The auth system will resurface, and the ass kissers, the wealth hoarders, the borderline insane hitters will retain their death grip on this thing of ours. That is how I see it at least. I hope things will be different, but my personal experience points me in the other direction.

I don't really know precisely why I've come out here and said all this. I guess it's because I don't have the time to take these opportunities myself. I wish things were different, but I have other priorities that block me from reaching from the stars, like my ancestors did. So I'm here today to tell you to go for it. If you're thinking about it, but are on the fence and can't decide what to do, I say take the chance. It could be the greatest thing you ever do in our world.

Take advantage of this while it lasts. Don Oakheart and Godfather Gato have reawakened our world. They deserve to be applauded, and thanked, and their ideals and changes should be embraced. We are entering into a golden age of our thing. The streets are thriving, all but one district has a leader in it, opportunity has never been so easy to take. All you have to do is reach out and grab it.

My greatgrandfather once stepped up and had been spreading the word about mutual respect, the fundamental base of expanding, in the streets.

There was little to none response to his speech, but the response he got in the time was nothing but negative.

Change begins with mutual respect.

Back then, the only respect that could be shown was towards the 'big guns', as you referred them to.
And he dared to question that.
His believes were that when there is mutual respect, this thing of ours would turn out to be great.

If you ask me, this is what is happening here and now. And hopefully, will continue to do so.
