I know plenty of mobsters that made it very high in Cosa Nostra by running their mouths. I can think of two right off the bat who until very recently occupied "Godfather" and "Don" titles within their city. To pretend that these people don't exist is laughable and to convince yourself that they aren't successful in doing what they do is extremely naive. These apparently "mythical" mobsters, that aren't so mythical after all and are very real, can often lead full lives if they leak the right information to the right people.

The fact that you don't know any names and doubt it occurs is likely because you're:

A) Not privy to important information.
B) Not someone who practices this.
C) Not someone who occupies a position that means they are approached by people like this.
D) Too blind to notice.

I would be extremely surprised if top level guys from different cities didn't communicate and share choice information with rivals that they shouldn't. This happens for a variety of reasons (a lot of them OOC) but it most certainly does happen.

It would also please me greatly if you didn't publically insult a promising associate of mine, especially without any cause to do so. I'm not sure if you meant to threaten him with this remark:

or if it is just my imagination. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you weren't. After all, it is my decision how I discipline my crew, whether they run their traps or otherwise.

If I may, Gwarble. No, not at all. He isn't threatening your associate. He is merely replying to a rather condescending comment of him ("Either way the lesson is still there. Capice) and then he goes to say that people who give out this info are often killed. but he doesn't mean to say he is about to do the killing. He works from the ideal assumption that the leaders would kill everybody who leaked this kind of info. Like you said or implied, it is not the case.

I'm not sure where you felt he *insulted* him, though.

If you actually listened to what I said you would have seen that I said that already. Please clean your ears out before responding again.
