Pandemonium Started by: Pan on Oct 07, '16 18:19

Pushing open the large wooden doors beneath the gaudy lights surrounding a large pristine white sign, drawing attention to the latest and greatest in nightly big band music by flashing and buzzing, Pan stands on the street in his finest white linen three piece suit and black shirt, adorned with an expensive looking gold pocket watch chain hanging between his waistcoat button hole and his suit jacket pocket.

Puffing on his trademark pipe, he clears his throat and raises both his hands in a welcoming fashion and begins his sales pitch:

Good evening one and all! I trust you beautiful folk are in fine fettle tonight, on this - a most momentous occasion?

Walking out into the crowd, Pan billows pipe smoke behind him as the metal guards on the heels of his fine brown leather Italian brogues click-clack on the cobbled pavement outside the grand building he has just emerged from, shaking the hands of the common man, hugging the more attractive women in the crowd, and kissing the occasional baby's head, he looks back at the sign and reads it aloud for the more illiterate members of the assembled mass of people:

"Playing all this week - Pan's Pied Pipers"... you see folk, I have always been an avid supporter of the musical arts, not to mention - someone who genuinely enjoys the company of others and - I will admit - partaker of the occasional libation. As such, it seemed only right to me to incorporate that love of music, alcohol and company with my love of extravagance.

Inside this fine establishment, you will find one hundred of the finest alcoholic beverage brands available to me - scotches, liquors, beers, malts and brandies, not to mention the most luxurious material seats surrounding the finest wooden tables this side of the Mississippi.

Not only that, but I also have a tobacco bar stocked with the finest in chewing and smoking tobacco available anywhere in the United States of Awesome.

Pausing briefly to take a breath and run his fingers through his wavey golden locks, Pan smiles allowing the tension to build slightly before continuing his unashamed advertising pitch in his usual extravagant style

As a businessman who has found great fortune in this city, I feel it is my duty, nay - my privilege, to offer you wonderful people a place to share my passion of socialising, at a price that you will not be able to beat anywhere in this great nation.

Now I know prohibition has not long ended, and some of you may still be reluctant to consume alcohol for fear of retribution from the long arm of the law, but I want to assure you fine folk that the local constabulary has come to an understanding with my very discreet personnel and I have been assured that my establishment will draw no unwanted attention, should there be no just cause.

Motioning to two young men to start distributing flyers, Pan takes one such flyer and begins to read the contents out loud:

Report Post Tip

As Maniscalco walks into the Pandemonium people turn and stare. He's not sure if they are admiring his impressive physique, accentuated by his tailored three piece suit, or perhaps the beautiful ladies (one on each arm) that accompanies him. He stops for a minute to allow people to further admire him and his entourage before making his way over to a table with a good view of the entire establishment.

At the end of a very enjoyable evening filled with laughing, dancing and of course drinking, Maniscalco walks up to Pan. "Pretty impressive place you've setup here, I will most certainly be back for more of your unique Pan-tastic times."
