I decided to step out of the Hotel for awhile, had some business with a friend. I walked around back to my car where I always keep it parked, only this day was different!. In the distance I see 3 younger kids messing with my car, driver window was smashed, one kid was in my car and the other 2 were vandalizing it. As I got closer the 2 kids outside the car ran off forgetting about the friend who was in my car. I stood right outside the drivers door and waited until he backed out of the car. After about a minute of looking around he pops out of the car only to get grabbed by the back of the shirt. He starts to freak out until I speak up and tell him to calm down. "Shh calm down I'm not here to hurt you...I should though because you fucked my car up!. What do you got there my watch?." I grab the watch from his hand. I let him go and tell him not to run. "What's your name kid? And how old are you?." He answers: Jeremy!, I'm 17. "Tell me why your breaking into my car!." He says: I need money to take care of my mom, I'm all she's got!." "And you chose a path of crime?, walk with me I want to show you something." As he walks with me towards the back of the hotel I explain to him that being a criminal involves you to do things most people cant. And you needed to be sure you were the kind of person who could handle the life so you can be man enough to face the consequences. My good friend Mr. G walked out the back door and I told him what had happened. I asked Mr. G to toss me his gun. Once he does I hand The kid my gun "Ok kid now he's unarmed!, remember what I told you... to be a gangster you need to do what your told even if your uncomfortable. This is Mr. G a friend of mine... was anyway!, kill him!." The kid stares at me with fear as Mr. G stares in confusion. Mr. G says: KL what the f- I put my hand up for him to trust me and stay quiet. The kid had the gun pointed at the ground so I light up a smoke and raise the gun for him saying carelessly "Ok kid... do it!." His hand trembles for what seems to be an eternity until I grab the gun and fire at Mr. G, when I do all you hear is click. The kid pisses himself as Mr. G realizes what I had just did was to teach the kid a lesson. I toss him his gun back. Mr. G grabs his smokes from his car and goes back inside. "See kid... in this life you can't fear anything, I can respect the fact you help your mother. Those kids you were with earlier I never want to see you with them again! Understand?." He nods. "However I will give you the opportunity to make some money and be a man but your going to do it the right way!, come back tomorrow... your going to clean up around the hotel. I will pay you enough so you don't have to struggle. But this gang shit is over, now get out of here and change your pants." He thanks me before running off. When I walk back inside Mr. G asks: How do you know he will show?. "I don't!, but he learned a lesson today... and he needs money so I'm willing to bet he will be here tomorrow." |

The next day Jeremy came in ready to work. I had a worker explain the basics of the job to him and he was off. From what I was told he did a good job throughout the day and kept the place sparkling. Before he left I called him over and handed him 100$. He told me he was not expecting to make that much, but he thanked me many times. I looked him straight in the eyes and said "you earned it kid!, you owned up to your mistakes and you took my job offer like a man. Now you can put food on the table and be the man your mother needs you to be. Now go home, tell your mom you have a full time job here."
After speaking with Jeremy he walked out the front door happy to begin work the next day. I noticed Luxuria staring at me from the other end of the foyer. She gave me a wink as I nodded back, I rarely showed affection but as I had said to many people I am a fair man. |
