Post here to show off which TVs you may have at your house or to ask for advice in getting one.

I have a 50 inch Samsung Plasma and a 32 inch Sony XBR. I love them both. I wouldn't mind getting and LED though, especially the 3D ones.

What do you know about the 3d tv's shamroc

You know we've already been through three pairs of glasses and they cost $150 each. I'm going to strangle the next person that gives the glasses to a kid. It's always some 7 year old finding out a new way to break them.

40 inch (wanted the 42, but they were out) RCA here. There are some shows that are actually difficult to watch when they're that up close and personal. Try sitting though a program called Hoarders. Uuggghhh.

So you DO have to wear glasses for the 3D tvs?? I think I'd have to draw the line there. I'm not enough of a tv-watcher to put up with that kind of annoyance, to be honest.

Yeah. With the 3D TVs, you do need to have a pair of 3D glasses, but the ones from the movie theater won't work :p Those bad boys cost $150 each so you have to be careful with them. At work, kids keep getting their hands on them and we've already gone through three pairs. It's frustrating. You can always turn the 3D off too though. Depending on the TV, you may also need a 3D ready device, like a blu-ray player with a 3D blu-ray disk.  Some TVs though have a 2D to 3D conversion where it can display anything hooked up to it in 3D but it won't be as vivid as a 3D device.

37" RCA LCD...which is pretty dead right now...about to buy a LED/LCD...hoping to find a 3d one....Games in 3D...? sounds like a good future lol now lets hope they make them so.

As of right now, there aren't any games in 3D. They only gaming companies out there that have plans for 3D for now is Sony. They should be releasing a firmware update in June for the PS3. Some TVs, like the new Samsungs, have a multiplayer mode for 3D. Basically, you can play split screen but instead of having the line going down the middle (or across the middle) of the screen to separate player 1 from player 2, they duplicate the image in a way that you each play it on the full screen.

That may sound confusing. Basically, two players play on the entire screen. It's insane.
