Taking some time away from unlocking jail cells, green decided to venture down to the streets. As he wandered past the various fruit and clothing stalls, the vendors hailed him offering their wares. More than that though, they quickly realised who the striking gentleman was and immediately began to offer their respect and adoration. What changed? They saw the gold bracelet hanging from green's wrist, engraved with the initials MR, awarded to him after his recent poker glories. Word had spread across the country about his near miraculous abilities and as he revelled in this totally well-earned affection, green thought that perhaps he could up the stakes and raise his stock even further.

Friends, I'm sure it hasn't passed your notice that in addition to being extremely handsome, I, green, am something of a poker king.

He allows a reasonable amount of time for polite applause before continuing.

You might scoff at this if it came from another source, but I assure you it is true. If you did need proof though, I'm happy to report that I recently dominated the weekly MafiaReturns poker tournament (feel free to confirm this with Keats or Telkin who received a particularly good kicking from me) and won this wonderful little trinket.

I also intend to win another of these beauties again this evening, but given what a brutal beating I handed down last time - I think we need to up the stakes a little bit to keep it challenging.

So, because I'm so bloody confident in my ability to best you and every other bastard who dares to sit across the table from me, I'll be offering a $1,000,000 bounty to the person who manages to eliminate me from the tournament. Hopefully this might encourage more of you to put your names forward so that I have something of a challenge. And obviously, whilst I understand this is kind of like being asked to beat Jesus in a "Who's the son of God?" contest, who know, maybe your stars will align and you will actually manage to river the fuck out of me. Either way, you've got to be in it to win it and I want to beat evvvvveryone.

With that, green begins to polish his bracelet, wondering about whether to wear his second one on the same wrist and double it up, or maybe just bling out both arms. 

Kate smirks as the man finishes his speech.

Collects her gold bracelet, winks at green, and strolls off counting her money.

green slowly lifts his head up from the table and looks around.  "Wa-what happened?" he asks the croupier, noticing the room was empty and he was the only player still seated. He had a stabbing pain in his face and reaching up, he peeled a stray chip that had been lodged within his forehead.

"Well sir, you seemed to be doing ok, solidly in second position I would say...." the croupier answered before looking sheepish and trailing off.

"And then...? What happened?" green asked with a sinking feeling rising in his stomach.

"Er, well, I guess you kind of passed out. One minute you were betting, the next you were face down in your stack." She answered before hastily clearing up the remaining chips that weren't stuck in or around green's embarrassed mush. "We tried to wake you, but you were totally out of it....eventually you just got caught out by the blinds" she shot over her shoulder as she slipped out. 

"Bollocks." green muttered to himself, hoping nobody would hear of this failure.
