IN this life we have those who are interested in the preservation of that thing that is what we are.  And there are those that thirst and strive for power, power for its own sake, not in deference to anything else.

Now, simply put, craving power is not, in and of itself, a "bad thing"

But when that person blindsides and entire society to enable the accommodation of a personality type that, then, my friends is and issue.

This issue is at play right now, here, on these Streets.

Who is the most powerful person in this thing right now?  The longstanding Godfather-Chariman RobOakheart?  Nakamura?  The erstwhile GFCM of Chicago?  Slash, the powerful and experienced CL from LV?

No, the most powerful person is ChristinGato.  Why?  Presence.  He, more than anyone else, is the sphere of influence in this society.  He sets the tone, the uncompromising tone that has seen this thing littered with the corpses of the innocent and the destruction of mini-societies.  And why?  Because it turns him on.

We might do well to remember the sex scandal that ancestors of Mr Gato's have found themselves embroiled in, and perhaps reflect on contemporaneous scandals involving powerful, egotistical men.

We have a Don playing first fiddle to the combined powerhouses of many second fiddles.  There are some rumblings of discontent, of course, as evidence by the sounds of silenced pistol shots, but those with the power to enact a sensible solution to this problem are lacking the will, or feathering their own nests.

And that, my friends, is a tragedy.  Because this society cannot flourist whilst a degenerate, trigger-happy pervert wipes out dozens to sate his perverse bloodlust.

I call on all people to do what they can.
