La Casa Dei Misteri. | Started by: Mystery on Apr 09, '10 09:07 |
A few hours earlier. Mystery stumbled off of the plane and followed DLS into the city of Vegas. Apparently she'd wanted to take some of the important members out to the casino's. He yawned and stretched, having just woken up from the flight. Handing his beloved GodFather a cigar, he lit one for himself before opening the door for DLS. Taking a seat in the back of the idling limousine, he smiled and popped open a bottle of champagne. This was going to be fun. DLS never did quite know when to say "stop" when it came to gambling. DLS nodded to the driver, and with a mysterious wink, the driver pulled out from the airport, headed into the city of Vegas. Mystery could feel the tension in the air. They all wanted to win more than the other. Madejski was sniffing the air, wondering whether anyone could smell his stench, and Rufio just kept staring out of the window into no-mans land. Misery was her normal peachy self, she kept asking everybody how they were doing, what they wanted to play first, and generally just keeping the mood light. Mystery looked out of the window shortly later, fully expecting to see the lights of the strip, but instead saw a bunch of decrepit buildings. Raising an eyebrow he turned to DLS. She smiled and asked the driver to stop, and then turned to Mystery. "We're not going to the casino. Misery and I both agreed you would be perfect for this. Now get the heck out of this car! We've got to go shopping for stuff to furnish your new HQ!" Present time: Mystery stepped out of his new HQ, a look of bewilderment still upon his face. He had just gotten done doing some basic cleaning work to an old building, getting it ready to be the top notch HeadQuarters of his crew. Stepping up onto a soap box, he saw DLS, Misery, Madejski, and Rufio all returned from their shopping trip. He smiled and started to speak. "Wow... I... I never thought this day would come. It is hard to leave my beloved home of LA, but on the other hand I am honored beyond belief for this opportunity. If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that I will not let my home city of LA down, and that I can promise I will do my damnedest to help rebuild the city of Vegas." Mystery heard a bunch of murmuring, people wondering what the crew name was going to be. "Oh, to answer those murmurs I hear! My family shall be called La Casa Dei Misteri." With that, Mystery sat down on the curb to let it all sink in. |

A few hours earlier. Duke stepped into the second idling limousine with Spike, and a few other members of the Knickerbockers. They weren't cool enough to ride with DLS, but they were visiting Las Vegas all the same. He was hoping to win big on the blackjack. Duke reached over to the fully stocked bar, and poured himself a Jack on the rocks. Duke finally realized they were going to the Casinos when they stopped outside some deserted buildings. The streets were still stained with blood of a past war. The occupants of the Godfathers limousine got out first, and then the second one emptied too. The group entered the building... Present time. Duke followed Mystery out of the HQ, and stepped into the front row of the crowd. That places was dirty, and he brushed off dust from his suit. Once Mystery had finished his speech and took a seat on the curb, Duke joined him there too. Congratulations sir! This is truly a wonderful time for you. I don't know a better person for the job, and you will make all of us in LA proud. Good Luck! |

Armorist watches the curious man sitting on the street side and chuckles to himself. He walks over, tips his hat, and then proceeds to bum a smoke. He knows who Mystery is and can't help himself from poking a bit of fun. After lighting his newly acquired cigarette he sits down next to Mystery and extends his hand in greeting. |

Hehe, I also know of your bloodline's fierce ambition to be a crewleader and this is a good chance for you to prove yourself to the masses, to show that you can handle business at a top level by leading your own family. However, you should remember that this isn't about proving yourself to anyone, this is your opportunity to shine and enjoy yourself as a family head. Congratulations. |
