Its nearly 4am... Tony tosses and turns on his friends couch. He can't seem to catch a break... These mental demons keep tearing apart his psyche in an unrelenting fashion. He sits up and ambles into the kitchen to grab a smoke, slips out the back and down the street thinking. "Why do I feel this" the actions over the course of my mundane sense of existence weighs heavily... "I just got engaged, the hells the matter" is it the separation from the streets? Admittedly teeter-tottering between this life I lead and the life she wants for me is exhausting. Maybe its the war .. I do miss that. War was simple. Tony struts into the nearest bar and orders a double whiskey. Waiting to see what events take place, whose faces peer around the bar.... Someone's gotta know something... |
