Remember Remember the 6th of November

After another successful Halloween hunt all manner and means of monsters had been disposed from the Mafioso world.

Bonds were forged and friendships made as the old common enemy had been sent resting once more into the abyss for another year.

But for some reason this peace, this Comradery was but short lived. After the final monsters fell rumors had already been whispered from coast to coast. It seems there was a wave of unhappiness growing out of control regarding the East Coast Families. Some of the rumors also included a certain someone's mother being called a beached whale. But this was all pure speculation at best.

Working late on stock reports Tommy received a call from the family. There had been serious events unfolding on the east coast and everyone had to take travel precautions.

Dammit , I have to cancel my vacation again. Looks like I will never get to spend some time with the wife's family and that famous New York pizza.

Concerned he decided to phone some friends to obtain more information.

*sling sling sling* Hello operator please put me through long distance to this nr - 555 - 1934 - Code word Phoenix Sun -    Yes Sir, one moment please.

Growing more concerned Tommy started to pace up and down in his office.

Going through Sir,    Hello ? Sam is that you ? How is it going bud, is everything ok? We heard that there might be some trouble on the east coast?

Sam sounded severely distressed on the phone - Tom is that you?, we are having reports of gunfire at some of our locations. It sounds bad man, we are missing 2 of our Mades and 3 Wise guys haven't reported in today. I think we are in trouble Tom. We might need to lay low for.... *gunshots interrupt the conversation*   Indistinct shouting in the background.  "Get down.. ...  fire.. . .. Gato's been hit...    Chairman   .. .. . down ...   "    The line suddenly disconnected     -  Operator?! Can you reconnect me ? It's urgent ! My apologies sir the line is dead.
 

A cold chill traveled through Tommy's spine... he's looked death in the eyes many a time but... but this felt different. The Implications... Could the Detroit Chairman really have fallen? Who and why.... too many questions ... his mind uneasy storming into thoughts of violence.

For the next few hours he made calls to gather more and more information and every call came back with worse news.

It felt unreal , unorganized....   Dons, Consiglieries , Bosses , Capo's and everyone dying on the east coast. 

There are no winners in war, only survivors - his father's words echoing louder in his thoughts.

Then came the call he dreaded would come.

*Ring Ring * - Hello Tommy here, who's this?  Mr Tank....I mean.. Uncle Tom? Yes!?  It's Luigi, I have some bad news ... Karen and Moe were hit. Chicago is burning, it's all fucked up Uncle Tom I don't know what to do.... even the cops are in on it. We tried to get to Philly but we were ambushed before we could leave the city. Your cousin, Sarah... I'm... I'm... afra...  she...  she didn't make it... *Starts sobbing*

Dropping the phone Tommy fell back into his chair... Sarah... agonizing despair colored his face dark and morbid as a single tear found it's way onto his pressed suit.

I promised your mother I would look after you. Now I've lost you all. - An inner battle of despair and hopelessness raged within his mind.

His mind again found his fathers voice, who's teachings calmed him. As he began to focus he remembered. Blood begets blood. All is not known yet only the coming days will reveal the extent of the bloodshed.
