I just posted this on my facebook but I think I should share it here as well:

To all my friends and family, I just want to take a moment and remind everyone of the importance of getting out and voting today. Whether you are supporting Clinton, Trump, Johnson, or Stein please do not take for granted to the awesome ability we have to decide the next leader of this great nation. We all enjoy immense freedoms by virtue of where we live; with those freedoms, however, comes the responsibility to stand up every 2 years and let our voices be heard about how we want our country to be run; and it’s not just on the national level. Remember in addition to the Presidency we are voting today for Senators, Representatives, and any number of local and state officials – not to mention several important propositions for those who are here in CA.

In a campaign cycle like the one that we have seen it can be easy to become jaded and forget what an amazing thing it is to be able to vote for our leaders – just remember that there are still millions of people in the world who do not have that right, with some literally giving their lives as we vote to try and bring a bit more freedom to their corner of the world.

Voting is our right, and it is our duty to exercise that right!
