This will be extremely brief, as I have a great deal of work to accomplish for organizing things in Detroit- but it nevertheless seems like a issue that I would like to put forth to the community. Those who attended the meeting of leaders last week will recognize that I advocated a similar position there after the issue was raised to all. I do not take credit for originating this idea, but I do want to make sure it's presented as soon as possible, since there seemed to be a general agreement in the aforementioned previous meeting.

While this is not a dire emergency and there are many more important things for our world to address, it seems simple to implement, low risk regarding negative consequences, and particularly relevant with the recent string of protection order postings. I should also make it explicitly clear that I'm not calling out any single individual or organization regarding our current policies. It's just what we've been doing, so it's an established practiced for many. I hope only to discuss what I believe could be a better alternative.

I propose that a single protection order posting board be established in the streets visible in each city to those who know where to look. This universal posting board would replace the plethora of individual protection orders. This resource would include guidelines (7 days of protection seems to be the standard) and instructions for how others should use it: please clearly present either a crew tag that will be protected, a list of members, or both. It will also include information on who is permitted to post valid protection orders to the board. My guess is that crewleaders and hands would be allowed to do so for the sake of convenience, but I'd be curious to see the opinions of others here.

Importantly, once a protection order has been sent out to this universal source of information- no one needs to state that their members have been informed. Everyone, moving forward, will know the single place to look for protection orders. It will become the responsibility of the crewleader to ensure that their members know where to find this information, as well as the responsibility of the individual to make sure they're aware.

The intention here is to eliminate the need for individual protection orders veritably cluttering the streets, as well as to remove the requirement for mails to be sent out that often fill our mailboxes. There would, instead, be a single resource that all reliable men and women could check. And if people can't be reliable enough to check a single resource made clear to them in the headquarters and private communications, why would they be reliable enough to follow our current system?

I fully anticipate that there could be issues or problems that I have not considered, and I also expect many people to have ideas superior to my own, so I'm looking forward to hearing feedback on this matter to see whether it could even minutely improve our society.

I agree with this proposal. Would be nice to have the protection orders listed in an organized spot which means less traveling around to locate them.

I for one am thoroughly shocked that this has never been implemented in years past, and I applaud you for bringing it to the Streets Ms. Logan. Keep up the stellar work.

I think this is a great idea as I personally have enough between the gambling voices, bums, wire transfers on my desk that I dont need any more mobmails or to read about anyone else informing everyone.

Though I myself am NOT a CL, I think it would benefit all of us members of crews to know a single place we can look and see who's possibly coming to check around and maybe get hired, instead of snooping and get shot.

It will help keep clutter down, and help with making things look more streamlined and organized... I mean, we ARE organized crime, are we not? We should get that way.
