I think this is an interesting question in this world of ours, in my view I think the word greatness gets muddled with perfection or power or being bold and loud. For me true greatness is knowing your strengths and working hard to utilise them fully but equally knowing your weaknesses too - not in a defeatist way just in a self aware way. By knowing both and working hard with your strengths and developing your weaknesses and being honest enough to accept both is true greatness. To sometimes be public about not having done something perfectly is greatness - to use judgement and skill on choosing your words and discussions is greatness. No-one is perfect and greatness can only be achieved in my view by embracing all that is great and strong and brilliant and also recognising and working on aspects that are not there yet either and having the ability to be honest and appropriate about both of those. To me that is true greatness. 

Greatness is personified by the fearless rogue who quietly builds up his strength over time before unleashing a wave of unrelenting, molten fury upon the docile, unsuspecting (yet paranoid) leaders and establishment of the cities, throwing their well-meant plans in disarray, have them scrambling for protection and to have the incompetent be vanquished in the general chaos.

The one fact that remains is that greatness does not stem from  wars or the desire to be known. It stems from being true to one’s own decency, from going on helping others whatever they do or think or say, to persevere without changing your attitude or trying to please others. Although in this world of ours we might see it differently, but it remains that greatness comes from being true to oneself and must be willing to sacrifice for others.
