He knew it had been a long week, with conflict on many fronts and the loss of so many, he was tired. But something he had noticed was, no matter how tired he was feeling, Mercedes looked ten times worse. This most recent conflict had taken much out of her, he knew that and he truly felt for her. But at the moment he didn't know what he could do for his boss.. That changed one day when he received a notice to come to the now familiar office of Mercedes_Kompressor, he had thought of what it could be about, especially as she had requested his presence, it sounded all so formal, which was unlike her.

Little did he know that was exactly what it was..

Arriving in HQ, Ghost smiled at the antics of his fellow crew members, like the common scene of Sarah acting like a child and running around HQ. Sometimes he could appreciate the family they had built there, and how innocent it all seemed. But he knew that there were multiple sides to a coin. So with some trepidation, he walked up the stairs of HQ to the other side of the coin, where the official 'Business' took place..

Arriving at his boss's hallway, he walked down towards her office door, which was slightly ajar, like she knew when he was coming. With a deep breath, he braved the unknown and knocked on her door. To hear her iconic voice say 'enter' and then all he knew about this life changed..

Mercedes smiles as GhostFaceJr enters the room.

"Sit down, Ghost."

Seeing the worry on his face, she laughs.

"It's not bad. I promise you. In fact, things are about to get better for us all.

"I want you to set up your own headquarters here in Black Bottom. I'm simply not equipped to do it myself, anymore. I'll be there every step of the way, and you will have KateLogan and MavisBeacon to support you as well, which, in my opinion, are incredibly valuable assets, indeed.

"It won't be easy. It won't be cheap. But I have every reason to believe you will succeed and do right by your crew. So. What do you say...?"

He was glad he was sitting as this would have knocked him off his feet, the shock of the request however was underlined by her request in between the lines, to take the burden off of herself.

Taking a moment to compose himself, he spoke. "It would be an honor to setup in Black Bottom, and I thank you for the opportunity to build something as great as you have, even if I can do half as great as you have done, I would be delighted. Having people like Kate and Mavis supporting me, will make the tough job slightly easier, but I don't wish to rely on them." He paused for a moment and then continued. "I wish to be an equal to them and make them and yourself proud." Seeing her ask the question of a name, he responded with something that just felt right. "The Spirits of the Grave."

He smiled at his boss, for perhaps the last time. As they were just boss and employee, now, they were more like friends. Which made him just as happy as the news she had delivered into his lap just moments before.

Seeing her pour his favorite drink, he knew it was certainly a special occasion. Grabbing the glass full of whiskey, he felt amazing. "Mercedes, I wish to propose a toast, to not only the success of us both in future endeavors, but to the future of Detroit under Kate's leadership and our partnership with Mavis. May we all find success and peace." Clinking glasses could be heard as they each took a shot of the heavenly beverage..

Kate strolled down the hallway, pushing Mercedes' door all the way open and smiling at the two people raising their glasses.

"Didn't even wait for me for the toast, eh?"

Smirking, she pulled up a chair next to Mercedes and filled a glass for herself.

"Ghost, I'm damn excited for you. I'm proud of all the hard work you've done, and I trust Mercedes when she tells me that this will be the best move for your district. I think it's important in our society to give hardworking, fresh faces a chance at leading a crew of their own- and I expect that you'll be a great addition to Detroit."

Kate turns towards Mercedes and smiles.

"Mercedes, I believe you'd make a fantastic crewleader- but if this is the way it has to be, I know you'll help guide Ghost and the rest of the Spirits to great places. Perhaps this will leave you with a little more time for our new business venture, eh?"

Kate clinks her glass with Ghost and Mercedes before leaning back in the chair and relaxing.

Arriving fashionably late as always, Mavis could already hear the clanks of glasses and laughter over joyous conversation.
He followed the noise which lead him to Mercedes office, discovering this was well beyond the first bottle they had already opened. Not one to be left behind, Mavis grabbed himself a glass before placing it back down and grabbing the half empty open bottle sitting next to it. He nodded at Mercedes and Kate, but did not say a word to anyone.

He walked straight towards GhostFaceJr, before he stopped, standing directly in front of him, looking at him seriously for a brief second before tilting his head to the side and cracking smile.

"Ghost, observing how you handled business over the last few days, I know that your heart is in Detroit, and know that Detroit is my heart. Whatever you need brother, I am here for you."

Mavis shifted then shifted and placed his arm around Ghosts shoulders, turning him so that they were side by side, facing Mercedes and Kate. Lifting the bottle still in his left hand towards Mercedes...

"You are filling some big shoes, but trust in the lessons that Mercedes has been able to show you so far...."

Shifting the bottle towards Kate

"...and believe and be eager in the lessons that will be available to you from this point forward. Salud GhostFaceJr. May every day going forward in your new position as today, with joyful feelings and thoughts of a promising, bright future."
