Okay so I have always wondered this, and it isn't a major thing, nor does it affect gameplay, so I've never asked. But because I am curious, it won't go away from my mind.

So here's the thing I've noticed.

Failure.
You escaped, but XXXXXXX did not.

That message I'm certain every one of us have seen at least once. (If you haven't then either your new, or just lucky as hell with Jailbreaking)  But have any of you ever noticed that if you move your cursor (PC) over the 'Failure' in the message above, then it for some reason changes to 'Falure'.

I have never asked why this was because it wasn't generally worth asking, but again my curiosity got the better of me. Is there an actual reason for this and I'm just completely out of the news cycle, or is it something we've all noticed but not really gave a damn about? 

I really wanna know what the reason behind it is. Is it an issue that's never been fixed/reported or is it a joke from way back in the day that the admins left in on purpose.

It was a humourous spelling error that was left in place intentionally.  Previously, all instances of "Failure" used to read "Falure"; this was changed to the correct spelling, but the mouseover was left as an Easter egg, of sorts.

Long long ago in a game far far away (that predates MafiaReturns) there was a running joke about the mispelling of "Failure!".  One of the programmers accidentally coded it as "Falure" and it was left as such as a joke for many, many years.  

What you see today on MafiaReturns is paying homage to the old land in which the community was born. 

Ah thank you for the clarification. Its always bugged me. As I would mouse over it and it would change over like you could click on it.
