Upon entering through the arched doorway a sense of comfort comes over Mr. Jones as the light aroma of jasmine floats on the air. The scent complemented the earth tones the room was done in . Redwood planks covered the floor with a fresh coat of wax that gave it a nice sheen in the mellow lighting of the room. Mr. Jones followed Dine through the building to his workplace. He knew this would be a good job the building was in fine shape, and everyone knew that working for Don StripheGotti had more than just the benefits of having stable work. He had heard stories though that Don StripheGotti had personally shot his last three editors, this did unnerve him a bit. With the ground of the earth represented in the redwood planks of the floor, the emerald green marble of the walls made a fine representative of the forests. The marble has a rich emerald base color with varying shades of flat emerald green and turquoise colors in round and circular shaped splotches and splashes through out the stone. Within the walls were six alcoves, three on each side of the room, just large enough to hold a twin size bed for those that may have staid late and needed a bed to rest. In between each alcove was a carving done in mother -of -pearl each representing one of the nine muses. They seemed to flow from the walls with a hint of a bluish green color . The wall in the back of the had the remaining three statues standing side by as if watching the room. The light of the hanging candelabra seemed to play eerily on the iridescent , smooth surface of these exquisite carvings.
Dinelas finally spoke to the nervous man her tone was whimsical but with authority, “Mr. Jones this will be your work area, I do hope it is suitable. Should you find need anything please feel free to let me know." She turned and saw the nervous look in his eyes like a mouse caught in a trap. She smiled reassuringly as she continued," Don't worry Mr. Jones you do your job , and you will do fine." Dinelas left the new editor to sort out his work space. In the center of the room sit six sets of ebony table and chairs. A black wood Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. The carved wood is as black as the night is with out a moon or street lights. Each table had five chairs made from the same handcrafted ebony wood .The legs of each table boasted flamboyant scroll work that seemed to flow with the black grain of the wood. |
