| .but is it REALLY bloodlining? | Started by: Bender on Nov 20, '16 21:45 |

As you can probably guess by the question I just shouted out, rather loudly... this topic is about whether or not something IS actually bloodlining or not.
Bender does random actions with his arms and legs to not seem too robotic in his presentation of the question
Right, so recently, whilst half arsedly over hearing some talk in the street from a 'bloodline' which seems to have banged on about the topic for multiple generations I heard questioning about how far you let anger dictate your something or another and can't we just let go of the past and make daisy chains together, or something What has me questioning this bleeted message of 'y u bloodline peepulz long tyme' is whether or not something IS actually due to the bloodline, as opposed to say... the bloodline itself seemingly being a reincarnating, reoccurring freak of nature. Let me give an example. Some gothic chick recently killed her self, surprise surprise right? Well, her mother was pew'd up side the face... Bender looks around and realises there MAY be snitches or undercover po po about so quickly adds "allegedly" for being rude, directly to people. She didn't just call them assholes like she implied they were, she egregiously demanded answers to questions as if they were questions, when they weren't... Before she did die however, she used a time old tradition of beating the squits out of her progeny to instil the teaching she herself had been taught. This gothic chick spoke the same way, with the same inflections? like when the end of the statement, like, sounds like a question? She apparently had the same focus on the same topics, the same repulsion to the same people, the same bitterness about the same outcomes and except for a slight favour towards blacker clothes.. she wore the same types of suits. she even had this thing where she would go out into the streets and rather than pose a question because it was a question, she'd make statements, digging statements that were grating to those they were being posed at, and PRETEND that shit was a question. People don't like that, do they? no probably not, and I say this with authority because that's the kind of self important asshole I am. Bender makes random I own this persona poses
So I guess, what I'm getting at is. When Joe is disliked because they come out and publicly flip the bird at people of seniority, then get splattered about the place for also doing it in person, then the next of kin comes out and repeats the exercise, to the point where there is no discernible difference between the generations, and it repeats and all the while there's no variation, no signs of growth, no changes, no evolution.. just the same over and over again... how exactly, is this bloodlining as opposed to 'the first generation died for it, the subsequent generations didn't get a job because of it and if you repeat their mistakes you won't have a prosperous time either' ? |

Disorder listens to Bender speaking before replying. "There really is no need for any confusion on this topic. The act of bloodlining is the relentless killing of mobsters descended from one lineage. Without the slightest regard for current action, change of behavior or anything else. The action is nothing more than endless killing until the lineage disappears from our shores. The confusion seems to come when people confuse this action with the pretty natural practice of lineage profiling. Sounds similar but is, in practical application, very different. For example, if your 16 predecessors all went rogue, it isn't entirely unreasonable to assume you may do the same. Indeed it would be foolish not to keep an eye on you because of it. However it doesn't mean you should be stopped from existing because of it, or denied the chance to live and change the history your line had left you. There is profiling without bloodlining. I'll grant you, if someone's family history is so tainted, it can be hard to give them a clean slate and a fair chance but it can be done. If you level with them about the situation and they accept they will have an unusual amount of observation to contend with on their way to proving themselves reformed. My own lineage has handed such chances to supposedly reparable scum. Couple of times they came good, a couple they just went the way of their ancestors. Point is, it's important to try. Sometimes, as may be with the examples you gave, people make the same mistakes and don't learn. We can't help that. All we can do is continue to present the answers on how to correctly behave and operate in this thing. If the individual doesn't learn, that's on them." He takes a look around at the gathering faces. "However hard it may be to come to terms with someone's behavior, bloodlining is never the way to go. When issues become that significant and upsetting, it is a matter for the gods to deal with." |

"Though I find your assumptions as ta how 'dis young lass ye talk about dresses highly inappropriate and irrelevant, I'll let it go on the basis 'dat your must be tryin' ta get a laugh out of your 'din'nah care attitude'. It falls flat in account ta' tha whole irrelevant ta tha discussion 'ting." *tammy smiles ironically" "I've been readin' a bit on 'dis bloodline ting, so I be askin' ye 'dis; what about tha flip side of your question? Tha people who repeatedly hunt others without ever changin' 'deir approach? Tha bloodline may have one deserved it, as alluded ta in your question, but what would ever change if tha hunters behaved tha same?" "Does 'dis mean 'dat anyone who is shot an' killed should be fearful for 'deir daughter or son? Should anyone whose parent dies by tha gun bother entering 'dis life if 'dey know 'dey'll just be hunted?" |

Picking up on the point made by Disorder, I agree that it is really key that you distinguish between "profiling" and bloodlining. Profiling can clearly be a positive or a negative. For example, my ancestors have spoken highly of many a mobster - and as a result I have been brought up with them. I spent much of my childhood in the company of the children of my fathers friends and as we grew up we began to attend the same coffee shops and ultimately entered this lifestyle with trust for one another. On the flip side there are mobsters whose family lines are infamous. Now I don't just shoot them in the cradle, every generation has free will and the opportunity to make a fresh name for themselves....but - are they going they've the person I turn to when my life is endangered? Probably not... Coming back to the original example posed by Bender - if you bring back too many angry anecdotes from your mothers/ fathers past then you blend into them pretty quickly in my eyes. If you start afresh as though your boat docked this morning then you get the same fresh chance as any fresh face - but fresh faces are those I turn to last in a moment of desperation. |

I have to agree with Disorder, he has but it so eloquently and perfectly summed up the two different, yet commonly mixed up two different actions. The main question for me is why, why do we do this? The most simplest answer is because its the easy option, isn't it? The term "Bloodlining" has to be the most over used phrase that people use in this world. People will quote the word at every single chance that they can. It is used as a scapegoat for those who think they deserve more than they do. I find People who claim to be getting bloodlined are pretty much full of their own self importance. There are very few people here that can say that their bloodlines have actually, really been repeatably bloodlined, yet most will claim such action against themselves. Why, well because they feel it excuses such behaviors and that they can justify actions based on the fact that they have this bloodline issue. Being a line that can confidently say has been bloodlined i can tell you that shouting about it has no positive effect at all. There is no smoke without fire and early on in my lines career we were somewhat troublesome. We rogued and shot bodyguards for fun. It was a period that my line and his associated created an awful lot of hysteria and thus we got bloodlined and actually were banned from entering all cities. It took an awful lot of time and work to try to drop the tag of "trouble maker". Its took a good few years of working within the rules to break out of that mold. It took a conscious effort to build up that profile to what i have today. Which is a much better one. People who know me and my line know that when war breaks out my lineage mostly always die first. This is not because i get bloodlined but more because of the profile i have built, people know what im capable of. Thats the difference between bloodlining and how your profile is perceived. |

I don't really think bloodlining - I suppose it exists, though not always as blatantly as people say - is all that bad or unjustified/unwarranted when we see so many 'bloodlines' where the daughter or son is more or less their parent in every way, from their actions, words, mannerisms to their damn name. |

BCP listens and nods. Agreeing with many points that have been made. Feeling as though some will not always understand the difference even with good explaining that has already been done, BCP decides to give it a shot. As Disorder and Spacepoll have stated, there are two big differences. Profiling and Bloodlining are two completely different things. My bloodline has some friends who have indeed been "bloodlined". My line it self has not. But I think the difference is easy to see if you look at it. Now, I don;t llike to condone bloodlining myself as anyone's line can change. But not all of them do. BCP takes a cigar and lites it. Exhaling the smokes slowly, he moves forward. We shall use the 2 examples we already have from other speakers. Take Spacepoll's line as a example. As he stated some things his line had done and his line worked their ass off to change that. Personally I hold his line in high respect and think thats excately the type of lines we would like to have. As he stated it was not easy but for his line to change the thinking but through harrd work they were able to. Now take said gothic chick. Although she claims she has indeed changed through her rconstant actions of her bloodline, we find this to be false. Now is it bloodlining cause her line keeps getting killed. Not if its by the actions that have caused it. Therefore it is not blooding either, as her actions deemed to warrant the deaths again and again. Profiling can be bad but it is not bloodlining. Bloodlining is to keep killing a line over and over just because of who the line is without warrrant other then to have them removed from these shores. The actions they do do not matter as the sole goal is to remove that line each time it is found. With or without reason, it always dies only because of who they are. BCP takes another puff and finishing up his little thought on the matter of topic at hand. Just my 2 cents worth on the subject. |

Whom ever is in charge will kill their enemies to stop them from toppling them and visa-versa that sometimes is mistaken with bloodlinning. However if the enemies can convince all by threat or indoctrination then that is a fine line at the end it will become unpleasant for all involved. |
