| OC Split Percentage | Started by: JohnnyTorrio on Nov 23, '16 00:55 |

I hope this hasn't been brought up a million times, I tried finding it but couldn't. Anyways, I was wondering that when you're the mastermind of an OC as say, a Made Man, and you do it with another Made Man, you split it evenly. So as the "mastermind" would it be a good idea to get a higher percent than equal ranks or ranks one higher? Say a 60/40 split? |

Nope. You get it based on Rank and Rank alone. I dont see any reason to amend that. |

Hm. I suppose in this scenario that wouldn't be too awful, as you're right - there's no fucking way I'm pulling a job with someone as the same status as me, and NOT taking a larger cut for organizing it. |

Doesn't seem too unreasonable to me for the mastermind to be demanding a larger cut in any context, but especially in one where the guys all have equal footing. |

It's rather reasonable enough as it is because I believe the higher ranked member played a higher role for the crime to be successful. |

Yes Shadow, but this isnt about higher ranked people, its about people equal rank. E.g. Two made men do an OC together, the user above wants the MasterMind to receive a higher portion for being the one that Organised said crime. Personally I disagree, as just because he organised it, he isn't necessarily the reason it will succeed. |

Slash have to disagree somewhat with the statement " just because he organised it, he isn't necessarily the reason it will succeed. " They absolutely are, if they weren't organising it, there'd be no monies to succeed at grabbing in the first place. I think another way of putting this is a "finders fee" or, y'no, you had to case the joints, pick out the roles and plan it.. that doesn't just happen on the fly (although with my falure rate at OC's you'd be forgiven for thinking it was)
I'm personally in favour of the OC host getting an additional 1-5% from each participant's cut for being the mastermind. It's not much, but hey, it's the thought that counts ^^ |

Well since it's a game and ranks do play a major role here, we all have equal the opportunity of doing an OC I still believe it's fair enough for equal ranks to earn equal earnings for the rhythm to go on smoothly. |

I'd have to echo Bender's sentiment. Without the mastermind, there is no job. We're all friends here, but if this is my score, that I've found, that I've put together, that I've organised, why should you get the same as me just for turning up and doing as you're told? Perhaps this could be an option for people to use and a means of choosing between jobs. As a mastermind, I choose whether to skim an extra 0-5% of the take? |

The great thing about OC's is you can pick the ratio between chance of success versus how much of the % you want to take yourself. You can balance it towards success, or towards greed. You can set it so you get the lions share of the pie, or, you can aim towards ensuring success. If you do enough work on your account, you can succeed with a bunch of low rankers and take the bulk of the money. |

Alternately, you can just invite me and we will fail every time! \o/ |

Basically put, I don't want to remove the option for those who to be greedy. If we always gave a larger cut to the person who organized it, then they would just clickclickcliclclick and grab everyone online, fill it to the max with high rankers and click go - giving them the same cash reward as someone who goes the extra mile, picks their people with a criteria in mind, and executing it with a calculated smaller crew of certain ranks ensuring a success that will bring the highest payout for the owner. |
