Amazingly you didnt mention anything about being a good lyricist. If you want to make it as a rapper, thats a key talent. Like Eminem is the best lyricist around in modern day in my opinion. Is he the best rapper? I dont think so, but I listen to him the most because of his style and the way he uses the lyrics.

In fairness Slash, Wayne is a pretty brilliant lyricist.  His wordplay and punchlines put him way up there IMO.  He's def one of the greats. 

I agree Slash, regarding Eminem, he's just a fuckn beast lyrically, some of his freestyles are just insane and the wordplay on top of wordplay inside of punchlines on top of punchlines, he is just very intricate.

I think there is some weird movement where the lyrical content isn't looked at by the younger generations. I mean you have mumble rap, ghost writing, fuckn shit that just takes away from the artistic aspect. It's s crazy new world, but there are still some that focus on the technical side of it, less so than the reputation and outward appearance.

Nas will always be the best and one true king of hiphop. Illmatic by far is the best album. Big Poppa is second with the soul on every track.

Lil Wayne is very very good, I like his cranky style, perfect combination of lyrics with music; Eminem is a pure freestyler, Nas is melodic, Woo Tang are artists that make my imagination trip, 2 PAC has style, Cypress hill had some rock energy, but when it comes to the length and meaning of lyrics without repeating oneself on some classical beat accords, French hip-hop scene rulez. In short I like em all from the old times, today what we hear is more techno-acid-commercial "rap".
