Santiago walks up to the makeshift podium and looks around seeing a few GROUPS consisting of 3-4 people scattered around the podium. The first thing he recognizes is that the only people pushing this idea are from LAS VEGAS, Interesting he thought... could there be something going on over there?

I can assure you Santiago that it isn't just Las Vegas pushing this, having attended the meeting we had last night all cities including your own felt it was a good idea. 

Whilst our world isn't a democracy it has been and can be very dynamic, we hear all the time about how people would like to see change, but what use is change if only a select few make the changes to suit their own needs and desires?.

I think you are completely missing @Space-poles point here and that is to open up lines of communication with everybody, do you think good idea's are limited just to those of rank?, why couldn't a wiseguy have and share a great idea or play a part in shaping our world?.

Kurgan makes his way to the streets he had been meaning to speak to the Scouse Pole about his latest idea an idea he ws pretty sure that scouser stole from his own lock box when he was visiting Chicago last time.

What Lancelot says is correct Santiago we discussed this topic more then any other topic i had spoken to Space-pole about his very idea as i had thought about doing pretty much the same thing though i would have used Made guys and above.

As Lancelot has pointed out people scream out for something different something to keep them interested but how many reach the top or get a position that can enable change? What Spacey is offering is a voice to champion your idea so that maybe an idea you have had but have never been able to put it forth can see the light of day.

Axel paused as he felt the energy of John_Scalise_Jr directed toward him. Even though he felt a little up in arms over Santiago's comments, Axel remained and gave John his time and presence. It wasn't everyday the Irish born immigrant was out here mixing amongst it, and he relished every opportunity to learn what this world was all about, even if his own lack of social skills left him a little short tempered at times. To Axel, his life before this was one of shadows and chasing nightmares, which still haunted him for the most part. None the less, Axel stood patiently and listened, then returned his own thoughts when John finished speaking.

"I'm confident that I do get what this discussion is about, as other people who have chimed in also seem to see it in a similar way, including the one who started the discussion."

Feeling a life's habit of aggression coming to the fore, Axel took a moment and a breath. Not that John had said anything abrupt or offensive or that would result in one needing to, or feeling like they needed to react in a defensive way. It was Axel's character, how he'd come to live his life. Conversations weren't usually an open back and forth, and they usually involved an axe. With effort, Axel kept himself in check and continued.

"I appreciate your point of view though, we'll just have to agree to disagree and move forward."

This corner of the street is greatly under utilised and I wonder if there's anything else you guys would like to see raised at the next meeting between the leaders?

I welcome any ideas that people put forward and I encourage people to use this corner of the street to bring things to the table that as leaders, we might overlook.

I don't have any specific ideas, but with now Philidelphia and Detroit empty, to me it makes sense that leadership explores options to populate these cities. Not too long ago all cities were occupied and many people seemed to like that. I had a brief conversation with my boss about this already, so I know it's not a subject being ignored by leadership. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to name it here in public as well.

A few meetings ago leadership agreed on rewarding public street speakers for their efforts. As far as I am aware, this system disappeared with the death of KateLogan and the stop to her newspaper. Assuming that with the death of KateLogan the general leadership concensus on this matter doesn't immediately change I'd be interested to learn if an alternative way to reward street speakers will be offered. 

Again, I might have missed something, but I wonder how things are with the country-wide newspaper that was announced after the death of Ms. Logan. I recall Sister MaryJane asking for contributors to this new effort. I can only assume that there were only few, if any, contributions. If the community still appreciates a newspaper, perhaps it's an idea to explore options to more actively gather contributions. Or perhaps take lead from leadership with a limited pilot version that might motivate and inspire other people to explore their ambitions in journalism.

And just for the sake of throwing something out there. Like the leadership has these once-in-a-while meetups, can we arrange a once-in-a-while open-mic with leadership. So, say we lean on the owner of some local coffeeshop, meet there for an hour with whoever is there and allow the average mobster to interact live on the spot with the leadership of our country?

And to finish up in the same area, even with the lack of journalists at the moment, perhaps we could do a Correspondents Dinner? Not sure who's really the top dog at the moment, but it would be fun to see a Godfather humour the society a bit. Sounds like a fair thing in return for some of the street freedom we've enjoyed lately.

Don't do promise things you couldn't do was a clear message with some looking back. Now I agree with previous poster, we need some Godfather cut out his opinion. Unless top dog has no meaning...
