| The CL Meeting Before Christmas: Dec 13 Summary | Started by: Senza on Dec 14, '16 21:47 |
|
And yet the current leaders of our lovely world have put their heads together to make this world even better. A suggestion was brought forth to establish a national paper with contributions from each city. SisterMaryJane’s extensive editing qualities will be put to task, as she is now currently soliciting articles from families in the hopes of setting up a country-wide newspaper with contributions from each city. While no estimated time of arrival was established, with a capable editor at the helm, perhaps we will be graced with an issue before Christmas?
A suggestion for country-wide, standardized punishments for breaking protection orders was a follow-up topic that was supported by Slash, BCP, Razor-blade-Mario, FishTheKitty, Artus Bonkers and others that agreed on the principal that there should be a one-size-fits-all punishment for breaking a protection order, while FitzChivalry, Daniella and others argued against this on the merits that crew leaders should be free to punish their own members and deal as they see fit, while StripheGotti brought up the value of networking, negotiating and creating our own destiny by determining these incidents on a case-by-case basis. In lieu of a universal punishment, the de facto policy of discussing the matter between the offending party’s crew leader and the protection order enforcer still remains.
Any ways I want to thank all who participated! It has been a pleasure again. And now I gotta get me some fresh pizza!! Have nice day all! |

Samantha blinked a few times, "You're telling me you had a super important crew leader meeting yesterday and the longest bit of information you've decided to share with the common folk is about Tim Tams? Again?" she whistled and shook her head, "Outstanding. I'm really glad you guys share this information with us, it's eye-opening and informative." she says before giving a wave and wandering off. |

Daria calls out to the woman wandering away from discussion; her eyes transfixed on Samantha's winter coat. Utility and stylish. Daria needed to track down her tailor. She snapped out of her trance and regained her train of thought. Perhaps it is worth keeping in mind that the meeting prior to this discussed a hefty amount of subjects that were discussed in the prior meeting, (referrals processes, rewarding those who spend time in the streets, forgotten MIA limits) some of which I believe are still being worked on. Certain things will get revisited, but realistically there is only a finite amount of material that can be discussed from meeting to meeting at the risk of bringing up old topics, and these sorts of things seem to operate in cycles.

Hearing the statement about the long bit of information on TimTams by the lady now disappearing into the crowd he decided to pipe in "I know, I can't believe they are still talking about this. I mean, they are obviously cookies and you would think that they would have agreed on that fact by now. I, for one, really hope that the "biscuit" crowd is shown the error of their ways at the next meeting." |

Lacey has a look of shock on her face around the subject of what one member of society deems unimportant to speak about over the meeting. She takes out her notebook, reads a few lines and turns to the community. Before we continue to look past two very important subjects that were talked about, in favor of one that the community as a whole may consider silly, I'd like to give you a deeper look at what occurs during these meetings. What is brought to you here is a neatly packaged concise outline with a pretty little bow, hand-tied by the one and only Senza out of the kindness of her heart and blessed by the cities as a whole, simply to give the general public a better idea of what we're discussing. This does not represent the labor in which the other subjects were/are talked about. The previous crewleader meeting was just shy of three hours. We discussed topics of all kinds and presented them here for your reading pleasure. This meeting was a little over half that length and only a few subjects were discussed. You can, perhaps, assume the importance of the two non "Tim Tam" subjects above and with your wisdom and knowledge I assume you can ascertain the notion that not everyone agreed on these topics and they were discussed at length before coming to an agreement. Quality of meetings over quantity of discussion topics should be noted here before we skip past sixty percent of the subject matter to focus on one. |

"Again I asked for candy and no one bought any to the meeting, things really need to change, sharing is caring. I did notice at the table that SlumLordCactusFairy may have had some hidden candy in his jacket, I think he noticed me staring licking my lips at the bag, he must have thought I was going to rob him." Given half a chance, Artus totally would have robbed him and left the table just to eat some sweet candy alone. "I noticed Borkers made a very quick exit during the meeting, at that point SlumLordCactusFairy not once fiddled with his jacket pocket. Come to think of it, his eyes seemed dead set on eating some candy, was he depriving me of candy?" In hope there was still some left, Artus got on the next flight to Chicago and hunted down Bonkers to demand some of that candy. "The meetings may be as long as the first one since the New York war, but I'm sure in time the meetings shan't last as long." |

SlumLordCactusFairy did notice Artus licking his lips while looking... At Him. However SlumLordCactusFairy just tried a new shampoo that morning and got this weird vibe from Artus that made him question some of his... Prefeences.
Due to this moment of weakness he forgot he brought snacks to the meeting. However since dignity and honor is vital part of our world, SlumLordCactusFairy decided as soon as he realized what he had done to take responsibility for his actions and make sure the snacks didn't go to waste. He proceeded to eat all the snacks. This |

NickFury walks out to see a group of mobsters discussing their various points of views of communications in our day and time. He notices that something was announced. "What happened!? I missed the whole fucking thing!" NickFury says as he walks passed a ripped piece of paper that was posted on a wall near an alley way. |

Conn reads the paper and chuckles, reading the last part. "I am happy that the leaders covered Protection Order topic, and I love the Country-Wide Newspaper idea. Good meeting guys!" he says, raising his glass. |

The current brand of CLs are really the reason why I lost my faith in this world of ours really. It is so dull, probably I am still recovering from the time when the three pillars really did an amazing job. While for the current crop of CLs, they are average at best. I would suggest the CLs, start organizing community wide events (Pass the baton does count, but how long has it been in planning? 3 weeks?) instead of having useless meetings like this where nothing of much importance was discussed and try to hold each other's hands and sing kumbaya around the camp fire. |

Having been a part of this meeting for the first time I would say that I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation. It was a little difficult at times, with so many voices needing and wanting to be heard. But everyone had a say and the topics at hand were discussed at length. As someone before mentioned, not every meeting is going to be three hours long, nor should it. The idea of a universal punishment for breaking protection orders was discussed in detail - what's here is a summary, that's all. It's not meant to be long or to give every statement that every person made. I thank Godmother Senza for being able to summarize such a long conversation so succinctly and accurately. Though Mr. Herold is now deceased, I would point out once again that the Pass the Baton event is on hold due to us awaiting the Gods, not any delay on the part of the leaders. As far as I’m aware, each city has built and team and is ready to move forward. And lastly, in terms of the silly argument over Tim Tams…people need to understand that by the end of these meetings, which can get heavy and serious, a little frivolity goes a long way in establishing relationships and ending the meeting on a high note. Besides, who doesn't love a good cookie?! |

Well you know what i personally am happy and enjoying the current brand of CL's. I would like to congratulate them and thank them for telling at least just a little bit about what is/could be happening. The current CL's don't have to give us any information if they choice not to, but they do. Again you may not like the speech, not giving enough info or not discussing the part you want discussing but well they can't repeat everything from a long meeting. It would end up being a very boring speech... Oh and Artus i will make sure AurelianoBuendia has the Snacks next time you can't trust slumLordCactusFairy with that sort of thing, probably pizza flavored! |

Listening to the crowd Jimmy nod's to his head bodyguard, Pappy, to dust off his old soapbox, standing on it he speaks;
We discussed very important point's for this world of ours, as mentioned by the lovely SisterMary, some of us agreed, some of us didn't but we choose to keep you updated with points as this has not been done before in recent years and one of those important point is the confectionery. To keep a meeting going confectionery and treats are essential a great treat can have a very calming affect when things get heated, a great biscuit can unite enemies that share one, next time Don Artus will have candy, this time, Tim Tams were the topic. Looks to me like a biscuit and a nice one at that!
Jimmy hop's down from the box making his way to his car, taking his hip flask out on the way and swigging his bourbon. |
