A sleek black car rolls up to an intersection. The hustle and bustle of the New York streets hushes slightly as the driver exits, saunters to the passenger side, and opens the door. LaceyGodreaux exits the vehicle, straightens her skirt, and waits to address the public.

As people start to gather, aware of the way these speeches are started, Lacey clears her throat and begins to speak.

Fellow associates, friends, family: There comes a time in this thing of ours where we outgrow our surroundings. Animals, humans, and even plants observe this same phenomenon. New York is no exception to this rule and as the self proclaimed leaders and upper structures of New York, when there's a problem we can solve, we shall do our best to solve it.

For the past month here in New York, I've had the pleasure of working alongside some of the most amazing, driven and selfless people I've known- not the least of which has been my dear friend and business partner MaraSov.

All of that being said, it is with great pride and pleasure, along with the blessing of our own Godmother Deces and The Regime leader and all around stud BrotherHec:

Please welcome MaraSov and the Awoken to Brooklyn, New York.

MaraSov exits the vehicle just as her name was spoken and begins working her way toward the front of the already growing crowd. Lacey works her way back toward the car and as they pass they hug and continue on.

Bryan just arrived at New York and he headed straight to MaraSov,

"Its been my honor and pleasure to work with you and I would like to welcome and congratulate you and the Awoken."

He walks towards his car after congratulate and welcoming Mara, because he have a business to attend and look forward to work with the Awoken.

Ariadne had heard of shit receptions before, hell, she'd had kin who'd been on the receiving end of one, but this was ridiculous. As over fifty people passed by complaining about dead streets, she pulled a 1921 bottle of Dom Perignon out of her bag and presented it to MaraSov. There was a gold ribbon wrapped around its neck, and a small card fluttered from the ribbon. 

"Congratulations, Ma'am. You come from good people, and I'm sure we'll see good things coming from the Awoken," she says, smiling her lopsided smile. "And if you should ever find yourself in Vegas, call that number on the card. I'll reserve the best table in the house for you at my restaurant. No charge for the Don, of course. Cheers!" Ariadne pats Mara on the arm and disappears back into the crowd.

Pompeius got there early to get front row action on this news.

"Yea! You deserve it. Congratulations to you Mara continue to work hard on making New York proud"

As Mara approaches the head of the crowd she passes her dear friend, and fellow Regime member, LaceyGodreaux.  Stopping to give Lacey a hug, she says, "Thank you for coming to the streets here to spread the word, and for working beside me during our time with the Regime. I have no doubts I would not be here if it wasn't for your friendship and support."

She walked on and greeted GodMother Deces with a smile.  "My dearest GodMother, thank you so much for this honor. I really hope I serve New York proud.  By the way, you should be expecting a shipment of Chateau Sisqueille, arriving to your HQ.  Think of it as token of my gratitude."

Mara, beemed a smile as she walked towards BrotherHec, she pretended to hold out her hand in a handshake but instead pull him into a tight hug.  "What can I say my brother? Your took my mother in and entrusted her as a hand.  After she passed I was lucky enough for you to take me in as well.  Now it is with a general mix of excitement and a heavy heart that I left you to start this adventure.  You know I have absolutely nothing but the utmost respect love for you and the Regime.   I am greatly humbled by your faith me, thank you my brother."

MaraSov turns to the crowd, still smiling. She motions over to her hands, Stewie and DarkAngel, to join her at her side. "Thank you all for coming here and joining the celebration of the opening of The Awoken's head quarters. On my left is the ever lovely DarkAngel and on my right, the always amazing Stewie.  Together we are excited to bring to you all, The Awoken.  I hope you continue to enjoy the celebration."

Axel didn't know much about MaraSov or the inner workings of New York, and the long journey coupled with his current business happenings meant he wasn't able to make it to the celebration. He did, however, have much respect for BrotherHec and his way of business, so he sent over a couple guys with some respectful offerings.

The two crates the men brought with them had recently stolen brand name liquor inside. The lids were cracked open with a short metal bar, revealing bottles of Gordon's Gin in one and Seagram's Whiskey in the other. A quiet word to MaraSov revealed the sender, before the men in dark suits closed the wooden crates and left the gathering.

Mara...

You have been one of the most loyal. One of the best friends. One of the most trusted people that has fallen in line with the regime. I am so honored that you were part of it. As far as I am concerned you still very much are. My only expectation is that you live your life to the absolute fullest and desire nothing less than your best. Any man woman or it who joins your ranks will perhaps receive one of the very best experiences this life can give. 

Believe in yourself. You will achieve great things. Greater than myself. Love your family. Serve them better than they will serve you. Be the example and make your time with them count. I am honored and certainly most humbled to have had you here. Remember that I am only a phone call away.

Gin walks up holding a bottle and 2 shot glasses, today was a great day for NewYork and it was time to celebrate the only way he knew how

MaraSov this is such a great day for our city. We needed a new leader and I believe Godmother Deces has found a wonderful addition to Brooklyn. There is no doubt in any of our minds you will do big things in New York.

Artus was a little late to congratulate MaraSov on her new position as a crewleader within the Big Apple, there was no real reason for it other than not wanting to get out of bed... He was so cosy and even struggled to get up to eat.

"MaraSov, I apologise for my lateness, I've been fairly lazy as of late and have barely even spoke to those from my own city. It is great to see that you could join us as a crewleader in this thing of ours, we've spoken a fair bit and I am so happy for you. If there is any advice I could give you right now, it would be to make sure you are protected always in times of need."

Artus chuckled to himself a little as MaraSov knew what he meant by it and gave him a look as if to say you cheeky bastard.

"If you ever find yourself in need of something, I am only a telegram away."

Artus heads back home but not before bribing the FBN for his drugs.
