Soooo its time to start planning the 2017 meet, with a few differences from the 2016.  This will be held in a similar area, about an hour north of Philly in the Poconos.  Airport/Train/Bus Station pickup can be arranged (Speak with IzzyCreamcheese on IRC for help planning this)

First, we are enforcing the first come first serve, select your bedroom and who you bunk with type thing so that those who planned well in advanced are not stuck sleeping on a 2x4 in the attic next to some bats.

Last year we were unable to secure the bigger house we wanted because we took a little too long to put down the deposit, this year I hope we can start early and secure the house we want.

Sooo we are shooting for early to mid October, most likely a Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday as to minimize days off from work.

Pricing will be $350 for the week, all funds go towards the house, then, whats left goes towards group supplies, then whats left goes towards group food, then whats left goes towards group snacks, then whats left goes towards group alcohol, then whats left, goes towards group beer. 

There is a $50 dollar deposit that you will get back after the meet providing that we get the full deposit back.  If we do not, we will split whatever remains of the refund among everyone equally.

Some people are going to read this and be like 'lol why the fuck are they planning this so far ahead' .........but no, in all seriousness, getting the details ironed out as early as possible I think is extremely smart.

Aye, its simple to rent some 4 bedroom house, you can do that with almost no notice - they are as plentiful as STDs among bargain basement street walkers.

But to score a house that has 15+ beds?  They are far and very few in between.  They need to be booked minimum a half year+ in advance, and sometimes, that isn't enough like we found out last year when we had to go with a slightly smaller house because the normal one was already rented :(

We did OK last year but it was less than Ideal, we had someone sleeping on a cot in a common area, and we had to turn another non-bedroom into a bedroom.  Let's not go through this again :)
