| Chicago: What even happened | Started by: BobbyMunson on Jan 18, '17 01:13 |

Many have been wondering what all even happened yesterday, some have came forward and asked others have stayed in the shadows and went on with their lives as nothing even happened. With Kurgan being taken out by the recent rogue Los Angeles along with Las Vegas knew their main lifeline to Chicago and bridge to safety was broken. Turtle shooting Kurgan broke the stability of the alliance and that is most likely one of the reasons why he was targeted in the first place. We have been at a time of peace and prosperity across the country for a great while, prior to this we had something fairly close to one hundred consiglieres and above people around the country. To keep this amount of guns at bay for as long as it had been was a feat amongst itself. No one can see into the future, but any decent leader will try and think as far ahead as possible and more than myself had pondered the what if Kurgan did fall and leave his city intact? We couldn't see why Chicago would allow either of the west coast cities to build any further, we were all aware that there was distaste toward both LA and LV a long while before Kurgan was removed and we knew our best chance at survival would be to strike first and strike hard if it were to ever happen. Well as we are all aware, the unthinkable happened. Not soon after whispers started to float around quickly, no one was surprised at this with the amount of anonymous notes dropped at numerous doors throughout the country during our peacetime trying to get various conflicts kicked up. What was concerning was where these whispers were coming from, and what they were about. There were many reports that many of the Chicago leaders wanted Olympia dead and others stating they were still paranoid with Las Vegas and wanted them removed before they grew anymore. All in all, these were still whispers which many will be in uproar about. Proof about you or your cities demise isn't something that comes easy, usually by the time you know you're dead. But we had our gut feeling and that is what we went with straight away. Neither city felt at all safe and knew sooner rather than later our doors would be kicked in while we slept and we would catch a piece of lead and this we would not have. To recap for those that are too upset to listen, we did it because we felt threatened and knew it was a matter of time. |

I for one have lost more friends than i could count in that war. It was terribly hard watching people who were wanting to house you and keep you sheltered at one point pass away before your eyes. Equally hard was watching what once was a haven and felt like a safe place turned inside out. I can not blame Las Vegas or Los Angeles for their act. As a leader your primary concern is your people and if you had felt threatened you must act. I applaud the two west coast cities for how they managed to work together in that stressful time and i mourn for those who passed. Although Godmother Senza time was short lived i have no doubt she would have filled the shoes of the late great Kurgan wonderfully with her trusted friend, Godfather Gotti, beside her. For those descendants of Chicago, a former crew leader of the city, i wish to say to you take heart. Your city was amazing. Great and powerful leaders filled your streets and businesses. It was a palace of exceptional people. We all go eventually. We all pass on one day. Be proud of your fathers and mothers for how they conducted their business and their loyalty to each other. Bobby, on a personal note, Thank you for coming out and addressing everyone tonight. I think its a tough call to do and sure you will have some people who will say that what you said was a lie or this and that. Regardless to keep the masses informed on a move like this, i value a lot. Whether or not people try and discredit your words you did what you believed to be best for your city as well as the city of sin and for that the west should be very grateful for you. |

RIP to all the fallen. So in essence what happened is treachery among the same few friends and the pawns just wiggle their tails and hop along while the same old same old kill each other? Did I get that right BrotherHEc? |

Close ThisThing People feared for the lives of their crew members. They took action to prevent a different outcome in the future. Its pretty much what everyone signs up for when they decide to live this life. And yes, RIP to all the fallen. |

Ok, I got it. Man, when shit goes south around here it all goes south. Sadly the risk when the fence is held together by a single chain link. |

These are troubling times we live in but it doesn't appear to be over yet. Only time will tell which way this is going to go but it's unfortunate that all of these people had to pay the price. |

Rest in Peace to all the fallen - it is never an easy thing to see great members of our society fall, however, unfortunately it is a part of the life we lead. |

It reminds of DT going after anomander and then paying for it afterwards. Could earlier intervention have saved some of the loss or prevented it, probably. |
