Rebuild Mode - A Reminder Started by: Squishy on Jan 20, '17 13:22

Just a reminder that Rebuild Mode is on, this means that any wack on a player that is not sponsored carries no reward at all, only the risk of wackback/wackback death.

Rebuild mode is something that kicks on automatically when there are not enough crewleaders to offer space to the members that need them.  The goal of rebuild mode is to remove the incentive of killing other unsponsored members rather than hard code that you can not, this way in the event that someone *needs* to die, they can, but it offers only a risk, no reward.

Report Post Tip

Minus the 7-day inactives?

Report Post Tip

There is an (R) in the profile if they are covered under Rebuild.  There is no (R) if they are not.

In the case of a 7 day inactive, they are not covered.

Report Post Tip
does it apply to the bg of a dead player? lol
Report Post Tip

Rebuild mode being on or off does not alter the BGs of dead players at all.

Report Post Tip

Are we in rebuild mode again?

Report Post Tip

I just mailed Disorder the GF about my take on rebuild mold and their weak approach to build. The approach Disorder supports to be under favor don't fly.

I simply told Disorder, it is not their call any longer. Many do not want to work to be cash cows while Cl''s and hands cannot cannot compare to the clown fest so to speak..

Holding hands to the tune kumbaya is not a favorite.

It is our terms or they can jerk off.

Uhm, that has what to do with this thread?

Report Post Tip

I don't really understand much of what you tried to say there Cleanup.

Seeing as this is an OOC forum the whole 'godfather disorder' thing is wasted. You mailed another player.

As for 'not their call any longer', I think you'll find you're wrong. I very much imagine it is their call. It was only for a very brief period that space was an issue with rebuild mode being on. That issue was resolved very quickly. Rebuild mode kicked in due to a lack of jobs being open and available rather than a lack of space. If you want to complain about rebuild you'd be better off looking at which of the leaders are currently not that active and have poorly active sponsors rather than complaining to a specific player about their plans to build (if that's what you were saying there, as I said... I'm really not sure).

Report Post Tip

Why are we in rebuild now? And enough is enough easily says it is not "their Call"

I'm alright with making 80 bucks as often as I have

Report Post Tips: 1 / Total: $20,000 Tip

And as I clearly explained, the trigger for rebuild mode has nothing to do with you deciding you've had enough or Disorder doing any building.

It was a technicality that it hadn't been removed 48 hours ago where job availability was sitting at 80 something percent rather than the required 90%.

Feel free to rant away on the streets. That's fine and you've every right to be as angry as you fancy there.

When you're talking about technical game mechanics however it's just bullshit. A single extra sponsor being online at the right time could have removed Rebuild 24 hours ago. So how you think this has anything to do with people not wanting to work for a single person or a single city is completely lost on me. NY could have triggered the drop, LA could have triggered the drop, Detroit could have triggered the drop. You sitting here talking crap about a random single city just makes you look a bit dim, to be honest.

Keep the game stuff and your personal stuff to the in-character forums and please don't be dragging it here to an OOC one. Or if you are going to, which seems more likely, please at least be right in what you say.

Do much barking Tsu? Until the powers to be tell me what I can and cannot say on these streets, I will carry on.  Do you understand me now?

This isn't the Streets. This is an OOC (Out of character) forum for the administration to communicate with the players regarding events and features.

This forum has nothing to do with individual players or their characters. Therefore, you blaming and flaming Disorder has no place in this thread or forum... You can,and most definitely already do, partake in those activities in the role playing forums, The Streets and the Business Districts.

I do believe that is the point TsuDhoNimh was trying to make.
Report Post Tip

I'll  correct my words because there is relevance. OOC: There are bullies behind characters. Then we hear and talk about rebuild.

Report Post Tip
So what would you like to see the administration do? It's not a lack of leaders, but a lack of job board postings that is prolonging rebuild mode from my understanding. How is that one specific players fault and why should the administration be brought into the situation when it is our own actions that have allowed this to become what it is?
Report Post Tip

Squishy I was wondering, if a crew is full or marked full what kind of effect does it have on "Rebuild Mode"?

Report Post Tip
Considering you are looking at Disorder I will assume you are counting me in with your complete bollocks.

I do not give two shiny shits if rebuild mode is on or off. The way I recruit will remain true and fair. I will only mail those who have done Jobs for me. I will ask them if they require help. I will ask them if they are interested in doing work for me.

After doing this I will not mail them again unless they mail me. I then will lay out exactly how I work and what I expect. If they accept that then we have a deal. If they dont then its no invite.

So considering SweetNothings and Curtis are full, and I am selectively recruiting, your theory of why people are going where is complete and utter bilge.

Stop trying to appear important. Stop spouting rhetoric. Sort your shit out and do something about it if you don't like it.
Report Post Tip

Lillith, having run the numbers, I believe that if a crew is marked as "full", then the space in their crew is removed from the rebuild calculations.

i.e. Currently there are 187 spaces in open crews, but 17 of those spaces are in closed crews, so the space in open crews according to the rebuild page is 170.
