ws rolled in on a slow Friday night in New York City, PaleRider had passed away in his home earlier in the day. Toast's phone began to ring off of the wall as the news quickly spread from coast to coast - there was a need for a new leader and he had been chosen with the blessing of the other cities. 

"Are you ready?"

It was a very heavy question, but it had to be done. With a heavy heart he made his way to the old headquarters where he had spent the last few years of his life. Bonkers and Fitz had met him there as the walked their way over to an area where everyone would be able to hear the new announcement.

He scanned the area with his eyes and noticed all of the men and women standing and sitting there patiently for him to speak, he had done this sort of thing before but never at this capacity. With help from his Right Hand, he made his way center stage and cleared his throat as he ended the surveying as it was doing nothing to make him feel better about the situation, it was best to just begin speaking.

"As you all know, Pale has been taken from this world too soon. With that said, there has been an empty void made within the city of New York which I will attempt my hardest to fill."

Everyone in the area seemed to expect the words, why else would they have been invited here? Some applauded while others kept quiet out of respect. It was a better reaction than he was expecting and so with that he worked his way down from the makeshift stage and over to a group of people who had gathered. 

He didn't expect to be leader this way, but he would take it. Walking over to a seat in the corner of the room which had been used by the previous leaders before him, he took a seat. This would do just fine. He had a district to run and now was as good of a time to start as any.
