Nobody likes prison and I was definitely one of those people. It was do this, at this time and all that bullshit. As soon as you come in, you are tested and people know if you are a alpha or one of the future bitches of the alphas. I was tested immediately, and I passed. A caucasian male came up to me and he pushed me against my cell. He was also my cellmate and he seemed to be one of the said Alpha’s. As I was putting my stuff on the bottom bunk, he clipped me with a punch that landed and threw my head forward.
I got up and tackled him and he bounced off the wall. We both fell on the ground, but he was on the bottom. I saw he had a pipe near the toilet for me and I graved it, still on him. I swung down with the most power I could muster together. I swung it down and the pipe slammed into his left eye and his head bounced off the ground. He was knocked unconscious, before the cell was flooded with multiple prison guards. I was kicked and stomped till I was dragged until the hole for two weeks. There is one thing the hole is used for, to tear down hope and make you become the ideal inmate who does not cause trouble for the guards. It honestly was my goal, to keep out of trouble but it came to me! I swear!

The man sitting to my right, was way bigger and taller than me. His prison uniform showed off many of his tattoos on his back and he had a lot. He seemed to be eating less and less, till he stopped completely and started to talk to me. He told me his name was Derris and he was a guy to make this place a lot more fun. He knew the way to sneak in contraband and how to get other inmates off you. But of course he needed weekly payment and needed me to protect him. So I needed to follow him around and make sure no inmate made a move on him. If someone did, I had to take him down. I told him it sounded easy enough and we came to an easy agreement.
He told me there was an inmate nicknamed Stooge, because he was not to bright, to put it nicely. He was a rat and sold him out, so he didn’t have to go in the hole. But the only problem was he was in protective custody and we could not easily get to him. The only way we could, was during yard time, which was only a hour. So he had a thought out plan already, and he had some of his friends help us. The guy likes to play chess near the bleachers near the basketball courts. He will stage a fight and distract the guards while I go and take him out. He gave me a shank that was recently made. The small alarm sounded and the inmates are now allowed out into the yard. It was time and everything was in place. I began to make rounds around the bleachers till the “fight” started. I walked up to the bleacher while the guy was busy playing chess. I threw my hand into his back and he fell onto the bleachers. I threw a few more stabs before I told the other guy to keep his mouth shut or he would be next. He shook his head in agreement and I ran away. The alarm went on and the whole prison was put in lockdown.

After a year in the clink, I knew the in's and outs of most of the activity. I knew the patrol routes of the guards and in the back of mind, rested a plan to escape. But I know if I was seen, they are able to shoot on site and kill me. So that may not be the best option for me. SO I kept with my new best friend and kept him from trouble. As he was my new mentor, he taught me the "inmate rules" that seasoned inmates knew about and have to appeal too in a sense. The rules are as I state them, with no type of order. He told me that you have to stand up for yourself, no matter if you win or loss. This will show you will not be pushed around and you don't have to become somebodies bitch. The second one he told me is to make sure you have more freinds then enemies. This was more an obvious one, but nice to know. The third one he communicated to me was to stay away from guards and do not talk to them. If an inmate see's this they could suspect you of being a rat and kill you in your sleep. The fourth and final rule was to keep yourself busy because you can be driven to madness, while inside prison for a long time. I took these rules to heart and never broke them while inside of hell itself. He then told me about prison gangs and there owned territory. He said there is four gangs that are big enough to worry about and these include the Locos, The Green Serpents, Devil's Jokers and the Black Death. The Loco's were a fully mexican and Latino gang. There members are fully covered in tats from there neck to there toes. They control the bleachers and the basketball courts. They are very dangerous and to stay away from them. The Green Serpents are a Asian gang that banded together, to keep each other safe. They are the newest, so they have the least in amount of members. They have only have two members who are seen as very dangerous, and they dies off in a failed riot. Devil's Jokers are a completely Irish gang, who are hotheads and fighters. They are dangerous one on one and will use any tactics necessary too win. They have a moderate amount of members and are seen as dangerous. The last gang Black Death, is a full black gang who usually stab Loco's on sight and most of them are in the hole right now from a incident last week. They are seen slightly less dangerous than the Locos but still stay away from them. |

But soon I realized that I needed to help out my friend Derris and quick. He needs a bunch of equipment for this plan of his and he wanted me to get it for him. He needed a bunch of spoons, he says we can use those to dig. It may take a long time, but they are easy to maintain. The second item he needed was wire cutters so when we did get to the first set of fences, we could get through them.
That concluded all the normal items we needed, but he told me to do this. He told me to construct a dummy and place a bunch of my hair on top of it, so during morning roll call they will suspect I am still there. Hopefully they will buy it and give us a few more hours to get the fuck outta there. After we get digging and get through the fence, one of our “friends” should be on the other side waiting for us with a guard car. Yes one of our "friends" is a guard who we sweetened up enough for him to help. But after he is done helping us, he wants payment or he will rat us out he says.
I found out that my brother refuses to come because he thinks we will be caught and killed. His loss. But aside from that we will have two more people accompanying us on this breakout. The first inmate name is Fernando Rodriguez, he goes by the nickname of Nails. He is in here for two murders, he is a nutcase but he will be useful when taking out guards. He said he knows how to make some handmade nunchucks from his bedsheets and a chair. The other inmate's name is Tito Padovano and he goes by the name of Doctor Death. He used to be a street doctor, till his practice was raided by the FBI and he was sent to prison for a few years. He is more a tag along, but he is friends with Derris so I can't say no to him coming along.
Derris tell's me they will have about a week to set everything up and then after, it will be showtime. The process made me worried, as I had to look over my shoulder more than I usually did. I was just hoping for this to all end and I can get the fuck outta here. During the process I was selected to make listen plates. Here I was able to smuggle a lot of useful items for the breakout, even though it wasted my time we did get more items from it. |

A week has gone through and it was time to escape. I was completely ready and the hole inside of Derris's cell was completely ready. It reached the fence and all we needed to do was cut through it. It was late around midnight, when I got the signal to start the prison break. I put my dummy in my bed and put the blankets over it, it looked as if I was still sleeping. I then met everyone in the cell and we made the transition into the hole. I was the last one to enter and I covered it with the bed. It was too dark and it took us too much time to get out of there. But in about five minutes we remerged at the fence. By the time I go out, we were halfway through the fence. About ten more seconds and the fence was cut enough to fit all of our bodies.
We squeezed through the hole and were at the other side. As we went through the alarm sounded and that meant we had a few minutes if that, before we were seen out here. But then we saw the guard and we all jumped into the patrol car. We sighed in relief as we all piled into the car and we made a move on. The only problem was the guard at the entrance gate. Our "friend" said he would have to kill him, if we had a shot of pulling this off. We rolled to the gate and he asked what we are doing here. Our "friend" told him we were taking these prisoners to another prison, but there is no other patrols out so he had to take them all. It sounded like a reasonable excuse and the guard thought so as well. As he lifted the divider he was dropped with multiple shots that teared into his torso.
We quickly speeded through and out of the prison completely. We went for about 100 miles, until we reached a motel. We quickly changed clothes and got two separate rooms. It was Derris, the guard, and me in one room. The other room contained the two tag alongs. We quickly had to think of something to do. I decided to turn on the radio to calm my nerves and hopefully then I could relax. But it was completely the opposite effect. On the radio we heard about the prison break and how one prison guard was killed in the break. It has turned into a state wide manhunt for the four inmates. The guard started to freak out and he was threatening to sell us out. "My job is ruined we are going to get caught and then I will lose my job forever. You better come up with something soon or I am calling someone". I stared at him with a calmed expression and told him the facts. "You make that call and I will kill you here and then you will still been seen as a dirty cop, so shut up and sit down". Derris laughed and nervously took a smoke of one of his cigs. |

Just waiting here is making me feel nervous. It doesn't help that Derris is smoking his cigar and looking through the blinds of the window. I look up to see him continuously pace from one side of the room to the other. "Will you stop pacing! You are not helping anything!" He looks at me and throws one of his finished smokes in the trashcan. But then my heart stops as I hear multiple sirens in the distance, are they for us? How would they know we are here so fast? But then the whole world starts to go in slow mo fo a few moments until I hear the sirens come even closer. I look the through the window seal and I see multiple police cruisers, with many upon many of guns aimed at the door. This was too fast how would they know we are here? I look around and start to panic as I begin to pace along with Derris. "The coppers are outside and we need to get the fuck out of here. I am sure one of you rated us out and I am thinking it was one of the tagalongs in the other room.' I load my gun with all the necessary ammo and I hide behind the first bed. Derris and I both have the same thought as I look at the corrupt guard. "It was you! You ratted us out you pig!" I go up and shove him against the wall near the radio. He looks in shock and completely says he did not, which is definitely a lie he is in for himself and nobody else. Then from outside of the door I hear, "Now come out with your hands out and we don't have to kill you. We do not need to do this, just come out and we can end this thing peacefully." I knew everyone in here did not want to go back to prison where we will have even more years on our sentence. I lay the gun under the chin of the pig and I tell him what's up. "Now you are coming with me and we are going to have a talk with the coppers out there. So shut up and maybe both of us can get out of here alive. I kick the door open and throw the cop in front of me. I hold the gun, into the fuckers head and slowly go down the stairs to the parking lot. Three cars are in front of me, with about six cops in total. They do not look like they want to fuck around and they are aimed straight at me. I laugh and I start to speak. "Now this is exactly what is going to happen so listen because I refuse to repeat myself. We are leaving here and if anybody moves he dies and then you die". One of the cops that looks to be in charge begins to talk to me. "What about you put the gun down and we can let you live". I fire a round in the air and they know what's up. They make a path for us to use and we all jump into one of the patrol cars. |

I drive down and further down the street. I continue to arch my head back, and look for the flashing blue & white lights. But nothing at all, which is a huge relief. The car erupts in victorious laughter and screams of victory. So I still know, that the only way to get out of here is to get to the airport or use the train to leave this fucked up situation. So I take the exit to the airport and drive to the overpopulated airport parking lot. I flew the car into one of the open spots and I get out of the car. We walk through the crowd and finally get into the airport, it looks like it's rush hour at the moment. I look around too see if anyone is following us, but all I see is normal civilians and a few airport guards. I quickly walk over too the line and find my spot in the back of the line. The line seems not long but long enough to hide us as a normal civilian. About five and a half minutes later, I come and get the five tickets. But I did a little switch at the end, four of them are going to Las Vegas, the other is going to Denver where the guard will be staying. I have a few guys at Denver who will take care of him and that will take care of one more worry from this prison break. I make sure to hold onto the tickets so nobody will expect the switch I am pulling here. I told the guard to enter first as I had to talk to the boys about something. As soon as he enters the plane, we quietly move down to where the Las Vegas bound airplane is. I hand the lady all out tickets and we all sit together. I got second class as I barely had enough money to pull this off and I may or may not of robbed a store on the way here. But you can use your imagination on that one. I look out the airplane as we begin the take off into the sky and as we take off the weight on my shoulders falls off as well. I even start to crack a smile and Derris looks to be having a good time as well. We almost all burst into excitement as we know it's all over. Know when we land we can have a good time in Las Vegas. I know it will be great, as it will full of coke, hookers and did I say hookers? |
