This is an alternative way to get your jails sorted - After the event of course:

If there is a jail already in session, it would be cool to have a .25 credit button to sort the jail. 

It adds nothing to the jail spawn; no one else is added to the jail, the money goes to House to pop into another city that isn't fortunate enough to have a jail. 

All it does is let someone that believes it is worth it to spend .25 credits to sort the jail for an hour. Maybe someone has been spending the full credit back to back for 3 hours and its worth it to you or maybe you flew into the city and there are still 20's in the jail and its worth it to you. It only benefits the spender but at a small cost ~ To be agreed upon by the community. 

*I picked .25 because if you were to find a city with .75 invested into the jail already it would give you sorting to finish the other .25*

So I spend one credit to spawn the jail.

10 seconds later you spend .25 of a credit and get the same perks I get for spending the full credit.

Perhaps if the .25 went to the original spawner it maybe fairer but you'll see a situation where people are not spawning as many jails but tactically waiting. In my opinion

I can't see any significant downside to this one.

The auto-sorting is a relatively small QoL tweak. Nothing that can't be achieved nearly as quickly with some use of contact lists, colouring, tagging and a quick Ctrl+F on the page (or slightly slower again by just looking and avoiding all the legwork).

If someone is willing to throw a .25 towards a future jail in order to save that click or two, they're doing far more to help the community (including the person that threw the first jail) than they are hurting that person IMHO. I don't see it slowing down the throwing of jails much and if anything I'd estimate it leading to more jails/longer sustained periods of jb'ing.  

As I read it the community pot would go to a different city? It would offer the original spawner nothing?

If the .25 went to the same city jail then fair enough. That'd benefit the original spawner making it a fair deal as their jail might clear quicker but they could get double the breaks as 1 jails could lead to 3.

I like the suggestion of Squishy - although - what happens when 4 people buy the sorting rights?

I think I confused a lot of people when I said it goes to 'House'. Obviously, whatever the community would like to see - I am okay with. But lets assume that the .25 goes nowhere. It is removed from the game, spent, not added to this city nor any other.

Yes Richard_Sharpe, yes. You could have found the jail already had .75 invested in it and only put .25 in yourself and get the same perks as someone gets for spending the full credit.

I couldn't agree more TsuDhoNimh, but what if I haven't taken the time to add all the CA's that were hired in the last 6 days that have 6 guards or all the young accounts with 1-5 guards. Sure I can refresh blindly or do a Ctrl+F to find all the 6's then all the 5's. But if I'm on my phone and I feel rich enough in credits, I may toss .25 credits to the wind to be able to click the top guy every time my phone bings.
