The Woof Pack on Ruffington Lane, South Side , CH Started by: mouseycop on Jan 29, '17 04:32

It had been quite the long week within the Academy, but MouseyCop had to be proud on how everyone was doing. The family was well bonded and things in South Side were running smoothly. So naturally it came as quite the surprise when MouseyCop received a message from Godfather Chairman Bonkers, inviting her up to The Crazy House for tea. It was not something she would ever say no to. Especially since meetings with Bonkers were always… well, interesting.

Calling for her driver, Mousey took the drive up to The Loop, running over different scenarios as to why she might have been called to visit the crazy side of Chicago. It wasn’t until she arrived before the Crazy House, taking in the scenery she had yet to really see the inside of, before heading up to the door and knocking, getting the butler before nodding to the man and telling him that she had an appointment with Bonkers.

As the butler nodded and lead her inside, Mousey glanced around, taking a look around the GodFather Chairman’s place. It seemed filled with all sorts of interesting things that helped clarify that she was indeed in the Crazy House, but at least she was used to how Bonkers was, so this did not surprise her as much as getting a message had.

Arriving to the room, she took a seat on a couch, thanking the Butler as she took the offered Teacup, she’d been about to take a sip when she realized the cup was quite cold, and when she glanced down she noticed that the tea was frozen solid. She wasn’t quite sure as to why this surprised her, but it seemed the Chairman still had many things that would keep her on her toes. Greeting Bonkers whilst the man tried to get into his winged chair that had been specially nailed to the wall. Why? She wasn’t really quite sure, but she was not about to question the man’s way of thinking. She paid full attention one he seemed to miraculously climbed into the chair before squatting, his words clear as he addressed her.

“I like what I see from the operations in South Side. I just have one critique: Where is the insanity? It’s the crazy plans that work the best my dear”.

Hearing his claim, she couldn’t help but fumble with her words, her eyes widened slightly as she stared at him. She’d made such wonderful progress with her district and it was full of all sorts of wonderful people that she was sure it would have done him quite proud. Staring down into the frozen block of tea that was in her hands, she sighed before glancing up and saying something she never thought she would have said in a million years.

“Actually Bonkers, South Side is pleased to announce our plan to set Rubix up to run his own crime operation and -”

The man seemed surprised and almost fell from his precarious perch. Before she could finish her sentence, he was exclaiming quite loudly in his excitement.

“YES OF COURSE! A DOG! WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT! That is Pawsome! Everyone knows 4 legs are better than 2! That is the most brilliant and ridiculous thing I’ve heard all morning! Let us gingerly touch our tea cups!”

She stood up before moving close to ‘gingerly touch teacups’. When the cups shattered though, she wasn’t quite exactly sure what to say. She was almost about to give up with getting surprised with the Crazy and start to just roll with it.

“I think I’ll bring some breakfast woofles and pawscicles to the bark-b-que! Has Rubix accepted the off-fur?

Mouseycop thought for a moment carefully, thinking of a proper pun before she replied, “I am pretty sure he did. He barked a few times and I’m pretty sure he is excited to em-Bark on his own adventure.”

Bonkers lowered his head and grumbled something about wishing he had thought of that one then lifted his head and spoke again,

“Very well, I hope I will have time to visit the ceremony later. I’m sure people will be talking about it; it is quite the tail.”

Mouseycop stood, leaving the frozen teacup shaped block of tea on its saucer on the table, stretching her arm out to shake hands with her Godfather Chairman. Once in the car on the ride back home, she asked her driver to inform Solar to assemble the School on the front lawn, she bid the driver farewell and made her way to purchase a new property. To her amazement she found a nice manor that would be perfect, and the best part was that it was on a street named Ruffington Lane. She signed the paperwork and got the keys and made her way back to the Academy.

Mouseycop casually moved towards the podium and addressed the masses. She thanked them for being able to make it on such short notice. She then pulled a strip of bacon from her pocket and called Rubix up to the podium. Mouseycop bent down and asked Rubix what he plans to call his crew; Rubix Woof’d. She turns to address the people once more. Turning back to the people Mouseycop spoke once more “Everyone! I’d like to announce the new head of a crime operation here in South Side! Rubix will be starting The Woof Pack over on Ruffington Lane!”

Mouseycop outstretched her arm, keys in hand and presented them to Rubix. Staring up at her Rubix flops onto the ground and begins to groom himself. Mouseycop dangles the keys over his head, jingling them until she had his attention. Rubix gently takes the keys and then places them quietly on the front deck. He then stands on his hind legs and throws his front paws over the podium and begins to bark at those gathered on the lawn.

“Woof Woof Woof. Woof Woof”

The members of the crowd look at each other. Mouseycop covers her face with her hand.

“Woof Woof Woof. Woof Woof. Woof Woof.”

HunterZolomon in the back of the crowd begins to laugh uncontrollably for a few moments as all eyes began to stare at him, he regains control and states, “What? That was a funny joke.” The people around him shoot a perplexed look and return their focus to Rubix who has now left the podium and has started to chase his tail, only stopping when he caught sight of a squirrel. He chased after it leaving everyone standing dumbfounded on the lawn. Mouseycop returned to the podium once more, “Well, I think South Side is as crazy as the rest of Chicago now… Is it too early for Whiskey?” Mouseycop bent down and picked up the keys and walked off.
