Are you sure you want ti post Started by: Vincent__costello on Jan 29, '17 06:00
I have a simple idea. I think when you post in the street or business district right before you submit a post you should get a bit of a pop up asking of you want to post it for sure. Now I know there is a five second confirm timer in the black alley but I think when you post something say in the streets directly you should get something of a pop up asking if you want posted for sure. Any thoughts?

No, I dont want to be able to second quess my sarcastic assholish ways.

Or second guess. See? We wouldn't be able to laugh at my G/Q mix up (heh heh) if I had a pop up, now would we?

Report Post Tip

I think this may be a case of "95% of the time its an extra step".

If you think you need a "chance to catch a mistake" but want it for a reply, why not use the Preview feature?

You click preview, see it.. then submit if you want.

Report Post Tip
Well I was thinking about that but what if someone didn't mean to submitted yet like pressing the button by accident or just about the press the button as you press it you see a typo this is happened to me many times before
Report Post Tip
Triple check everything before you post :) Sorted!
Report Post Tip

Why would you post anything then?

I think most people overlook the odd stutter or stammer in the streets tbh, we've all done it! Also if it's a major fuck up it shows more about your character in how you recover / manage it as a result. For me back alleys, the preview option and sometimes fucking it up a bit are all sufficient.
Report Post Tip

Anteros, do we overlook the odd things, or we all do that at times, sometimes? For me, I have difficulties separating my body from my mind except in lucid dreams...

Report Post Tip
For me the odd 'typo' or misspelt word does not detract from the content of what is said. I know some out there love to pick up on those errors, in my personal view if all you have to comment on is a misprounced word rather than anything of substance then it says more about the person pointing it out than the person who wrote / said it.

The bigger fucks in my view give a greater insight into the speakers personality - not for the error but how they carry themselves and deal with it afterwards.

We don't need diapers. Speak publically and yes you will be heard publically. Deal with it. We don't need more safety nets in place. People fuck up out there it keeps it 'live' and interesting...
Report Post Tip

Exactly. You don't need to act to speak by yourself. Sometimes people are just acting to be, do, or say something. But it's another subject...

I am not the kind of guy that is typical (or too old if that was the typo meaning).

I am misspelled otherwise by the meanings of "bigger fucks" and "fuck up out there".

If that was order(s), I would be fuckin' pleased to oblige.

Report Post Tip
People definitely overlook the odd mistake Anteros and DotBoom, yet if the posts are so hecticly mistake ridden, one has to wonder if anything is being checked at all before the submit button is being pressed.

Just be an adult, check your shit with a spelling and grammar check like in microsoft word or the like, and review the content a few times before posting it. And if you cant be assed, then what you post will be a result of that.

That extra human effort to make sure what you post is of a decent standard would mean an extra game mechanic like this is unecessary.

Plus as Squishy said, the preview feature! If I'm not mistaken, it was introduced due to a similar request like this. It works a treat, and should prevent most mistakes if the time and effort is put in. :)
