| Delinquent Coffee Shop - Open for Business! | Started by: Philip_Anselmi on Jan 31, '17 20:15 |

Walking down the street you notice a bunch of guys hanging around a local coffee shop in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. You notice that it looks different than the last time you visited LA. Perhaps it was the new name? Delinquent Coffee Shop ... a strange name indeed. A tall middle aged man stands right outside of the building. You notice that he's dressed in one of the finest all black suits you have ever seen and you listen in as he begins to speak.
"Today ladies and gentlemen I have come to Los Angeles as an investor for the city's infrastructure. Now I realize not all of you may know me so lets get that out of the way... I'm Philip. Now, what you see behind me was once an old abandoned coffee shop that only a few weeks ago was bustling with activity. I'm proud to say that this coffee shop is now open once again! This city has been hit hard by the recent times and with my return I plan to invest back into the city and it's business district in particular. However, this doesn't happen overnight and I can't do it alone. This is why I plan to work with everyone regardless of if you're just a random Joe off the street or a big name here in LA but I don't expect them to come and run a coffee shop for me."
This is why I'm always looking for able workers that are determined and don't mind some manual labor. If you think you're one of those workers then come find me and we'll talk about it. Now that this is out of the way why don't you come inside and see what we have to offer?
The middle aged man turns to head back inside after his speech, turning the closed sign on the window around so it shows that the shop is open. Right beside the front windows are various signs that show what's available for sale; ranging from Milk, Tea and Coffee to various pastries, eggs, and vegetables. On the inside of the small little shop is a few tables and chairs scattered around the place and a large counter that runs down the center of the shop. Behind the counter you can see one young guy ready to take orders of anyone walking through the door. To his right you can see Philip walking around the various tables to ensure that there isn't a single issue with any of them. |

CS was walking the streets of Los Angeles after another successful cookie run. In the end, she managed to shake that old lady off her back, and she walked around nomming the cookies as slowly as possible. But it was as if she needed something. As if these cookies needed something in addition to them. It felt wrong in some way. She was walking on the pavement and stared at a new coffee shop on her right side. It looked bright and welcoming. Perhaps she could find what she needed inside? Above the café, she noticed the sign. It said Delinquent Coffee Shop. What an odd name, she thought to herself but decided to enter the place anyways. Currently, there were not many people inside. Actually, she was one of the first ones there, and she walked directly up to the cashier and looked at the menu. There it was! She had found what she needed! "Can I please have a glass of milk for my cookies? To stay? If I am allowed to eat my cookies in here, of course. I will give you one of them as a small gift for you," she offered and smiled. "It looks like you need it anyways." Of course the cashier allowed her to eat them inside after being offered one of these delicious and freshly stolen cookies. After paying for the milk, she found herself a table near the windows. Finally, she had found a place where she could sit silently in her own thoughts - well, until a man approached her. "Is this your place?" she asked him and studied his face with curiosity. He looked somewhat familiar to her... had she perhaps seen him someplace before? |

Philip looks at CS, taking a break from checking the tables as the two begin to speak.
Indeed it is, just put the finishing touches on it last night. Say, didn't I see you running down the street the other day? Philip looks down at the cookies being eaten, he smirks for a moment before going up to the counter and looking under it for a moment. He returns to the table and places a cookie down onto it. You left this behind. |
