Recovery. That was the one word on the man’s mind as he stepped throughout the construction site. Previously, the compound that once resided here belonged to much more esteemed and noteworthy members of the Cosa Nostra than than one moving in to occupy it. The devastated remains were simply bulldozed over, cleared for new scaffolds and support beams to begin erecting themselves upon the hallowed ground. The headquarters would be brand new, and bare no trace of the destruction that was brought upon it prior. But the damage to the community, the energy that once pulsed and thrived within the City of Brotherly Love had diminished greatly. Materials can always be replaced, but it was the souls and bodies of the men and women that once made the city a prestigious location to reside in. Regardless of the details of the past war, it was time for recovery.

Shady_Sam made his way out to the front entrance of his new headquarters, tucking his hands into the pockets of his jacket, giving a nod towards Dobbie with an entourage of bodyguards who stood ready to receive him. It was cold and cloudy, the ‘crowd’ that gathered to investigate the commotion was few and likely unwilling to linger for any longer than necessary. That pessimistic thought brought a slight smirk to his lips. He withdraws his hands from their sheath clasping his palms together to signal his desire to speak.

“A great privilege and honor has been bestowed upon me, the authority to operate my own crew. In such current times, it is not uncommon to see new leaders sprout up across the three annexed cities and no doubt many are already fatigued of attending every single announcement. Therefore, I shall keep this short and precise.

The Shady Syndicate is being established in the Old City District within Philadelphia, with the permission of the Godfathers Bonkers and FitzChivalry, in additional to MissNiki- and Argyle. My heartfelt appreciation and thanks goes out to these men and woman who made all this happen.

It is my intention to help revitalize the city of Philly with traditionalist values that my lineage remembers so fondly from eras past. While we happily accept both new and old blood into our fold, a Button will not be handled out with ease. They are not a write-off, those who will be Made will have to prove their dedication and reliability to not only the Shady Syndicate but to the city of Philadelphia and by extension New York. There will be expectations to be involved within the gilded streets and to reenergize the business districts of any city we visit. Having a capable gun or being able to rake in cash are in the job description, they are expected to earn your keep.

MissNiki- had been expecting this announcement in the streets all day. She looked forward to seeing Philadelphia grow into a thriving city.

Driving along the streets on Philly Jigga notices a crowd with a man looking enthusiastic to speak. Jigga tells his driver to drive around the block. 

After the speech

Jigga steps forward from out the crowd.

Jigga hands Shady_Sam a Cigar.

Jigga lights Shady_Sam cigar and enjoys a quick 10 minute smoke before his driver returned. 

BlackJack runs down the street towards the Shady Syndicate HQ and intercepts Shady_Sam as he is jumping into his car:

"Shady_Sam, one quick moment! I am sorry I haven't been around sooner. I have been overseas visiting family. Congratulations on setting up you HQ. I wish you every success. Please take this gift as a token of my congratulations."

BlackJack hands Shady_Sam a bottle of fine single malt whiskey.
