Salvatore leaned back in his easy chair. Satisfied with his early dinner, the empty plate on the nearby tray table. He reaches forward into his wooden humidor and retrieves a fine Honduran cigar. He enjoyed them for their bitter taste, a byproduct of the acidic soil. "Gaius, our friend is almost here... he has waited awhile for a piece of the action. A whole borough to himself, Happy New Year." Sal would often go on tangents and repeat things he knew to himself, as if invisible bystanders were listening in to his private conversation. |

Gaius shook his head at Sal, smiling slightly. Sal, you are my friend, my Boss, my mentor, and I deeply respect you...but I don't know why... Gaius paused and licked his lips, savouring the confused, anxious look on his boss' face. ...But I don't know why you smoke that crap, eh? He barked out of a laugh and jumped to his feet, suddenly consumed by nervous excitement, rapping his fingers against Sal's desk as he spoke Sure sure, it works out perfect. Gaara deserves The Bronx, it needs a strong hand to lead it, and he's proved he's got that from his dealings with the Irish trade union outfits. |

Sal and Gauis immediately avert thier eyes to the door as they hear the soft rap on the wooden door panels. Sal motions for Gaius to open the door as he tips the ash into the ash tray. Gaius opens the door as a middle aged man with rugged looks and wearing a long coat appears. "Long time no see friends. I seen a lot has changed around here, for the better ofcourse." Gaara smiles. "As soon as I heard news of my promotion, I came as fast as I can. And let me be the first one to say is that I will try my best to uphold the high standard that has already been set in this newly renovated city." Gaara graciously accepts the drink of Gaius and sits opposite Sal. Gaara proceeds to extend his left hand and tips his glass slightly in a cheers motion. "I do believe this is the start of a wonderful partnership." Gaara smiles and takes a quick sip of his drink. "Wonderful indeed." |
