A Bunch of F-ing Idiots Started by: Alice on Feb 05, '17 19:51

Earlier today, several great men and women were murdered due to a liar who put a bug in Bonkers ear. Without taking a chance to talk to anyone about it, they executed some innocent people. So, to be blunt to the matter of fact, they killed the wrong people. So, Bonkers, since I know you'll be reading this. You were fooled. CONGRATS. You were lied to. You just can't stand the fact we bonded together as a city and didn't take eachother out. It's sad really. Now that you took us out, maybe you should consider taking the rest of DT out to show all your fucking power. One of these days you are going to fall. Every single one of you will fall and you'll look back and see how ignorant you all really were. We were loyal. We worked hard.

The salt arrived early today.

Chirrut pats Alice on the back and gives her a chill pill

"There, there.. the force is strong with Bonkers."

Report Post Tip

Kinoko was walking and seen heard commotion coming from a little girl. He walked in to hear what was being said and replied to her cry.

No need in crying over spilt milk, what is done is done. I never understood the reason for some to come out here in our beautiful streets and wine...

Would you like some cheese with that wine?

Report Post Tip
Kinoko, sometimes people get upset when their family are killed due to lies as was supposedly the case here.

It solves nothing of course, what is dead may never rise. But when you have the victor point of view I don't see why its so bad for the next of kin of deceased to air their thoughts. Granted most cases will be people complaining, but not always.

JanEgeland, you are right tho, It solves nothing of course, what is dead may never rise.

But, history is always written by the victor in the end is it not? Now I have not a clue why some have met their demise today, I don't know the reason if it was lies or truth many don't.

All I know is that, when my acesters passed. I just didn't go out to the streets and call out a Godfather in the open, now maybe Alice could have simply came to Godfather Bonkers herself behind closed doors and found out why this action was took place on her mother. That's reasonable right?

Report Post Tip

Kinoko makes a valid point here. What's done is done, and bitching about it on the Streets only further discredits one's bloodline. This is a grave breach of Omerta.

I second Augustus, I believe you can be sad, furious about the events. But coming to the streets certainly isnt a good way to express it. Theres a mail system to talk things out privately.

Theres a mail system to talk things out privately.

This is in my opinion is the best way, to find out what happened to your parent and why they passed. Listen, I understand being upset. Trust me we all get upset. Just I think that this could have been talked about in close doors.

Report Post Tip

Omerta prevents people in this thing of ours from divulging information to law enforcement. It's often extended to oaths that ensure that sensitive family information isn't shared beyond the family walls. It doesn't restrict next of kin from having a good ol' moan though. That's simply covered by personal taste and the character of the person in question.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a good ol' natter about the causes of or results of a war. If anything it's probably pretty cathartic. It's just a question of what impression the execution of it will leave behind and how well the person in question might be able to sway the thoughts and opinions of those listening on.

You seem a little upset, Alice.

Understandable, of course. Though it is worth taking a moment and composing your thoughts before blurting them out. You'll have a far better chance of making them meaningful and constructing an image of what occurred that does something to strengthen your side of the argument. For the moment at least that argument consists of hurling "Liar, liar pants on fire" at an unknown perpetrator, who betrayed your mother, for lying.

I'm aware of the same facts everyone else has been made aware of. Information was provided to Chicago. Information that confirmed, not suggested, a pact had been made between multiple leaders that should one of them come under attack for failure to perform at an acceptable level that all three would retaliate. Given the scenario in question, we can call this the 'suicide pact'.

Given that this information was leaked from a meeting of senior leaders. Given that it was provided to the main targets that pact would be aimed at. Given that the subjects of the pact were able to be convinced of its authenticity. Given that once they were made aware of this scenario they didn't feel there was enough trust there to reach out and speak about it and inform you of the allegations. Given all of these things, all of which the leaders who died were responsible for, you still feel the responsibility lies with an unknown liar on the grassy knoll? You still think it all lays in Bonkers hands for not trusting you enough?

You're entitled to your opinion, but we don't necessarily have to accept it. I'd suggest it was on those leaders to ensure leaks didn't happen. Or I'd suggest it was on them to not start talks on plans for a joint attack on someone much stronger than them. Or I'd suggest it was on them to ensure that should lies ever happen they'd earned enough trust that someone might have reached out to them first. Or I'd suggest it was on them to have done one thousand other things that might have saved them.

I understand hurt. I understand mourning. I can only imagine your pain. That said, throwing blame at others isn't normally beneficial. It's far more productive to look inwards and see what we can change in ourselves to avoid this type of scenario, the one felt so dramatically by your mother, in the future.

Without having any knowledge of the situation, I can only suggest that the offspring of Alice- as well as any other youngsters out there- pay particular attention to TsuDhoNimh's comment, particularly the final section. I couldn't have said it better myself. Which is annoying.

This is a grave breach of Omerta.

Simply a token thing to say in such matters. This is OUR streets. Not the public where Joe Bloggs can stop by and listen to everything we say. Nothing spoken in our streets is in breach of Omerta, otherwise every single person in our world is breaking Omerta constantly with such things as details of meetings, news of new leaders and those recently deceased, all over the streets on a frequent basis.

Don't get me wrong, I find it futile and pointless for the next of kin to come out here crying and stomping their feet like a kid having a tantrum, but that doesn't mean I don't also understand why their frustrations have reached such a point that they felt it necessary to do so.

Do you genuinly believe approaching a Godfather to discuss such matters would have ended any differently? I find it highly unlikely. Instead now here we are all talking about the fact the takedown may have been done on the whim of bad information. Does it matter? Not a single bit. The reasons for the takedown tbh aren't even that important, at the end of the day it happend and Bonkers did it because he could, no other reason matters. I'm sure he felt it was the best thing to do, when I heard him speak earlier it certainly came across that way. If he is wrong and it wasn't the best thing to do; well I dont think he's really put himself at much risk either way.

But still, I think it's good for us little folks to know that maybe the reasons behind such a move weren't all that they seem. It's something that people like us would remember if it repeats itself, and more importantly it's something others that matter would remember more.

Report Post Tip

Oops, it seems I somewhat repeated TsuDhoNimh a little there. I didnt hear him speak and normally if my opinion or thought had been aired I would have left it..

Oh well.

Report Post Tip

Always good to hear opinions from multiple sources. Reduces the risks of people ignoring my opinion due to my sexy elbows or anything.

Given that the next of kin of one of those killed has already confirmed the allegations elsewhere.... though they only talked about doing it, they didn't actually do it so it should have all been a-ok... I'm not sure I'd waste too much time questioning it.

BlackJack arrives in the streets only to realise that he was too late. Alice's limp body lay on the ground after she had taken her own life. BlackJack addresses those who remained at the scene:

"Unfortunately when you roll the dice you have to be prepared to lose. This bloodline played a dangerous game trying to quickly gain  power which she did not deserve. I am ashamed that I had the wool pulled over my eyes and that I did not see it sooner myself. I hope my associates trust that I have learned a lesson in trust today. I will need to be more vigilant to keep them safe in the future."

BlackJack lays two playing cards next to the limp body of Alice before turning and walking away from the scene.

TsuDhoNimh and JanEgeland, thank you very much for correcting my understanding of Omerta. It makes a lot more sense when you put it that way. I agree with what you both said about the next of kin of the deceased having a right to come here and vent their frustrations, but all the same, I stand by what I said. I find it a waste of time and effort to rage about the past rather than looking to the future, but once again, that's just my opinion.
