Oh alright, on a serious note, genuine congratulations on what you have achieved on these shores. Not just reaching the year, which is superb of course, but for the way you have done it. No-one can argue you that you've made it here in some style, exercising considerable control over your own destiny in the months that've gone by. Even in this day and age, it's a remarkable achievement for someone to reach the top of their game and stay there for so long. Stunning work. Long may it continue and I have little doubt it will. Well done old boy. Tally ho. What.

Wanders off again, before remembering how he'd planned this out in his head. Turning back for a final quip, he says...

Felicity ran into the streets at a break-neck speed. Thankfully, no necks were broken in the process. She couldn't believe how downright silly she was. After staying up the entire night before, putting the final touches on the project she had so carefully labored over, the silly girl had slept in that morning! Despite Evangeline's attempts at waking her up (with much pounding on her apartment door and screaming "FEL WAKE UP YOU'RE LATE!"), the Consigliere had merely slept through most of the morning's proceedings.

Waking up several hours later, bits of scrap paper glued to her forehead, Felicity realized her crime. Grabbing the delicately wrapped package sitting on her desk, she ran out of her apartment, onto the streets, and arrived full speed in front of the Godfather's own personal headquarters.

A crowd had already gathered; people from across the Eight Cities had flown in to wish Godfather Deimne well on his special day. She felt embarrassed, nay, stupid for showing up so late. Yet with a smile, and a deep breath for good luck, the young woman weaved her way through the gathered crowd, approaching the Capi di tutti Capi.

"Deimne!" she said brightly, a smile assaulting his eyes as it spread across her face. "Ohmigosh I can't even believe that it's your birthday today! Isn't it so super swell?! All of this, just for you!!"

Holding the package out to him, she gave an eager nod and did a little hop skipping motion.

"Ohmigosh you need to totally open that right this second."

Not waiting for him to make a move, Felicity grabs the wrapping paper and tears it off, pushing a book back into the older man's hands. The brown leather material was expensive, if not a little bit ruined by the hand-drawn flowers and hearts the girl had no doubt done herself.

"Isn't it so nice?! I got some of the cats and dolls in the city to help me gather some pictures, so I could put together a scrapbook for yoooou! I spent all week putting it together so that you could cherish your memories from working in New York, okay?! Open it open it!"

Not wanting to hear any more shrieks of 'open it', the Godfather complies, opening the scrapbook and quickly perusing it.

When done, Felicity sat beaming like a Cheshire cat into his face.

"I know you liked it, I can tell by that weird twitch in your eye. I'm so happy you're so happy!"

Realizing what this day was all about, the blonde quickly grabs one of the Godfather's hands, kissing the back of it and bowing her head in respect.

"Godfather Deimne, you have been like, so swell to me since the very first day I set foot into your city. That's something that truly made an impression on me. In a time where I didn't know where to go after my cousin Gabe died, you made sure that I was well taken care of. Me! Just a goomba at the time! You treat everyone as if they were your own blood relative, in fact I might start calling you Daddy!! Some men rule with wisdom, and some men rule with a commanding presence. While I think you have both of those in spades, what really sets you apart, Goddaddy Deimne, is that you rule with your heart. I have rarely witnessed a leader who is so level-headed and fair, yet so protective of his associates and his well-oiled machine business, from the biggest cog to the smallest. Everyone here showed up for you because they have been touched by you in some way or another... no, it's okay, really, Dean told me about that one time. I won't say anything, I promise!! But they've also been touched by you like, symbolically. You've done so much for your city, and I'm so glad that we could all pull together and do something for you, even if it is nothing in comparison to everything you've given us."

The girl stops babbling for a moment to give a weak smile toward the man.

"I think, no, I totally know, my mother would have been extremely proud to see you here today. She didn't expect any less, really."

With a shrug of her shoulders Felicity suddenly stood upright and gasped, placing one hand over her mouth in shock.

"Oooohmigosh it's like, your one hundredth birthday, right?! Do we have cake?! I would love to have some cake, that would really hit the spot right about now..."

Continuing to ramble, the girl is dragged away (forcefully) by one of Deimne's bodyguards, allowing others to step into line and congratulate the man.

Many congratulations on one year Godfather Deimne. Its an incredible accomplishment and I'm proud to be standing here to witness this anniversay. Heres to Godfather Deimne, thank you for all that you do for us each and every day!

In my time here Godfather i have met many people. I have treated everyone with as much respect as i could and some of the people treated me with great respect to. I Dont have much to say but a few things. First id like to honor you with the love you give to the family you run is just remarkable. It will always be an honor to know i served in New York. Secondly you have always greeted me with great respect and that to is amazing to me. Whether you were hated or loved by anyone i would be willing to say  everyone has a degree of respect for you sir. May God bless you and those you love Godfather.

A long black Buick pulls up and a nicely dressed, very nervous wiseguy jumps out of the car and runs up the numerous body guards surrounding the Godfather of New York.

Umm, sir, I have a letter for you, the young man says as he extends his hand and hands over an envelope.  Bruiser wanted me to extend his apologies for not being here personally, but unfortunately he's in New Orleans getting his new head quarters opened.

Dear Godfather Deimne:

    This letter is long over due and for that my apologies.  Please accept my apologies for not being there in person on this most tremendous occasion.  These anniversary are far to seldom and sir it couldn't have been a better guy.  You were my fathers Godfather before he went on with Godfather Iota, then finally with Godfather Levenstein.  It was an honor to my father, as well as myself to have known you and witnessed you achieve this great feat.  Congratulations and I wish you nothing but many more years of success, for you sir are one of the best we have.

Chaos.

I am very happy to see someone so deserving reach his year.  It is not an easy feat to become so aged when living directly in the public eye and always being the person that is sought out when a conflict or fight arises, and to do so under that spotlight is something.  There are two paths for a city to survive as long as New York has, one is to stay under the radar and never stir the pot and occasionally compromise your beliefs, the other is to build a city out of people you know you can rely on in any situation.  So is the case for this city.  When Godfather Rourke came to New York he had two people at his side:  Butt_Ox and the immortal ForkRourke.  From there he built an empire from war refugees and the sons/daughters of people he respected that fell on the wrong side of a battle.  One of the people who was handpicked happens to be our birthday boy, Deimne.  It was a choice that was never regretted.  Deimne brought together a city from a few ragtag members and built it into a machine.  I hope to never see this city fall, and most assuredly with Deimne at the helm it won't.  Congratulations boss, you are a leader for the ages.

What to say about Diemne...you've been there through thick and thin for multiple people in my bloodline. You're always willing to help anyone that is under your care, and that is only part of what makes you a great man. I wouldn't want to work in any other city then New York, a city you've kept in high esteem with the rest of our world. You're the definition of work ethic, and go above and beyond any expectation put before you.

In short, you're the person I look up to most in our world, and I wanted to congratulate you on your big day.

I'm sure you've already had plenty, being Irish and all, but have a drink on me.

I don't know you that well our dear godfather, but what I do know of you so far, you are quiet the generous and well rounded person, which explains why you have made it this long, and i wanted to say Congratulations, Happy Birthday, and Thank you for all the times you have already helped me out.

Charlotte steps up to Deimne and takes him firmly by the hand.  Though she hasn't been here long, she knew Big Daddy's friend, Starshine, had once had her first opportunity with Deimne.  She had heard many great things over the years about Deimne and the dedication with which he ran his families.  His accomplishment was indeed great.

I wish you all the best and am very proud to see this day come.  I wish you the best and want to say that I am proud to be working with you.

Really, what can I say?

So many kind words from so many great people, it leaves me lost for words.

To see the speaches, gifts and kind words from so many amazing people, it is a humbling moment for myself. Something that doesn't happen often.

I'll be the first to say I'm not in the position I'm in because of me. I'm not a great man, I'm not a special man, I'm just a lucky man who has a lot of great people who have helped him get to a position that I never could have dreamed of. Without the help of these people, many of who have spoken here, I would be but another name in the graveyard. Today isn't something I have earned, it is something that has been earned given to me by the great people who have worked so hard and allowed me to get here.

So... thank you!

Congrats Deimne! You have done New York proud! Oh Thank You for always supporting each fellow New Yorker and helping us out in everything.

You have proven your leadership skills as well as your integrity time after time and I can only say I am proud to work for such a great (old) man..
