Merci steps up on the cardboard soapbox once again, but it's been raining, and the damn thing collapses. Cursing to herself, she steps onto the bumper of the nearest car, waving her hands a bit in an attempt to gather attention. "Question! How do you feel about a really busy business district? Lots of people complain about dead streets and the like, but is there such a thing as TOO busy? "I find myself looking up and down the Strip in Vegas, where the majority of my crewmates have set up shop. We can't complain; the money's good and we've built strong bonds with each other in the process. But...I wonder sometimes if it doesn't scare off the out-of-towners? Could they be peeking around the corners and thinking they might not be welcome, that it's some kind of inner circle they don't care to bother entering? We rarely see even the other Vegas crew members visit much, which is a damn shame, because who doesn't want a big juicy bite of a Disappointment Burger? "We welcome any and all visitors, just to be clear. Maybe I'm just reading into it a bit much, and no one cares to visit Businesses like they do the Streets? I dunno. I enjoy walking into a healthy business district when I find one. Lots of great connections and friendships to be made..." she says, dwindling down her speech as she jumps off the bumper. The owner of the car looks mighty pissed... |

Pandora parks her car on the edge of street. She waits her business partner. When she is waiting There is someone jump to her bummper. She so pissed off and blowing her horn "What the hell she is doing!?" she gets out of the car and look there is beautiful girl stands on her car. Familiar face, she talks about busy business district . Hmm pretty interesting, pandora loves walks on business district. She lets her finish her talk.
Once she is jumpping off the bumper, Pandora walks closer and smiles to her... " Hello miss thank you for jump off from my new car" " And about busy business district. I love to walk on business district a lot. But sometimes i just like to do windows shopping.. Well There are some reasons for that. One I forgot bring cash, second when I don't have money, Third there are a lot of common business there are nothing special for the shop to be visited. " She takes a sit on her bumper car.
" Well according to me there are a lot of common business on district, on the example bar, bakery or etc. Well the taste of food is important things on this business, or the cozy place also the main point. But the most important thing is CREATIVITY because if creative enough for making business people will interest to come again and again. Well interaction business will be more fun rather than only buy and sell stuff.. " She crosses her leg. "There is nothing wrong with the common business , but if we want our business to be visited by a lot of people, we need to make something different like making game on the shop, or something else. So everytime people come back to the store they will get something new, not only the same things like they used to get from your shop.. I know there was a creative business on lv, " FORTUNE TELLER" i think it have been closed now. But it was not a common business, it was interesting one because everytime u came back you will get something new .. " She smiles and looks at the lady who talked about this topic.
"But I respect to those who build their business, it is better try to making business. Im not confident and creative enough to build some business shop." She just realize that she talks so much. |

Caesar honks angrily, gesturing towards the dent in his bonnet that had been caused by Merci's fat arse. Stepping out of his vehicle, he finds himself being looked at by her audience, as though they expected him to say something. Clearing his voice tentatively, he considers the matter which had been raised. "In my opinion, it is more a lack of activity in the Business Districts of other cities that causes Vegas to stand out. Whether we admit it or not, this city is the current centre of power, and money goes hand in hand with politics. A possible solution to this issue would be to encourage our team to ply their trade in the other cities as well, along with including out-of-town entrepreneurs in our businesses, so they have an incentive to participate." He lights a cigar before proceeding. "Due to the prohibitive travel timers, it would be nice if Vegas could establish financial alliances with her nearby cities, and assist businesses owned by out-of-towners with local support and management." |

After Merci has made her speech and brought forth the question of out of towners visiting other cities business, Gabriel decides that he has an opinion on this. He notices the owner of the car is not pleased with Merci standing on her bonnet, so looks for something else to stand on. During this time a couple of others began telling their own thoughts on the matter. He waits for and appropriate moment then pulls up his wooden crate, steps up and begins. "I suppose there are many reasons why a city's business districts only really have patrons from there own cities visit, but the one that comes to my mind is that we are just visiting and we don't always have the time available to us. We have other matters their that we are taking care of and to pop into each any every shop is hard work. Like Pandora i tend to window shop mainly and only venture further into a shop if it is intriguing to me or what i want at that time. Even then though by the time i have found somewhere i like and have looked at the wares on offer, it is time to ran and catch a plane. I may not then return for days or even weeks" "So i wouldn't say that Las Vegas is too busy, it's a lack of time from the visitor. Even here in LA, we don't have many Active business's, but the ones that are active mainly only have patrons from Los Angeles come in, as the out of visitors are that only visiting and don't have the time" "Well that is only my opinion i will know step down and let others continue" |

*Waves at Merci* Not a clue who this mafioso Merci is but I got a hunch Merci is a voice of reason. Reminiscing on my latest run ins, I must send small a token of my appreciation. Merci was johnny on the spot when the cops were on my ass on robbing a bank. I bolted when sprung out the slammer. To be honest with the hustle and bustle of making a buck, I personally forgot all about the business districts. You do raise a very good point. In addition, the suggestions that arose after your thoughts.
Insane will make it a point to visit The Fountains in LV. Famished, Insane hopes to find a good joint to satisfy the hunger pains. Maybe I can gt my car looked at while eating. Must check out the business District! |

I have a couple brief points to add: First, it's easy to get intimidated when you see a group of people from a different city living it up together. But people need to remember that if you're' in public then you're opening yourself to public interaction. If you really want to be private, find a back alley. I've had some excellent times just stumbling into someone else's conversation. Second, I think that Gabriel had a good point when he discussed most businesses being visited by those directly from that city. Part of this, of course, is human nature. If you're in Chicago 50% of the time and each of the other cities 10% of the time, you're most likely not going to get super involved in other cities' business districts. But I also think that most travelers assume they won't be greeted immediately on walking in. Reservations are a good solution for this, as well as having multiple people looking after a business- but it can be tough to break the assumption that no one will be there to help you in the two hours you have to kill before your flight. |
