The crewleaders met up again today, and I've been given the great honour of leaving you guys with a short resume. So here goes:
Recruitment techniques Godfather @Bonkers opened the meeting by raising the topic of recruitment techniques. It was noted that there had been an increase in cases of new hoodlums being inundated by requests to join families - often receiving a letter inviting them to join a family before a single conversation had even taken place. It was also noted that while the majority of incidences were related to families in newer cities, and hence bloodlines that were not familiar with recruitment etiquette, it had also been noted in established cities such as Chicago. It was declared that all families should remind their chosen sponsors of the importance of properly introducing themselves and putting some engagement into their dealings with new faces to our shores. This means more than half a dozen words or indeed none at all. Godfather @Disorder noted that short messages were appropriate so long as 1) Were they polite? 2) Did they ask if you needed help? 3) Did they make you fully aware of your options before suggesting you joined them? Ultimately responsibility will lie with the crew leader (in addition to the relevant sponsor). There will be an initial warning, then a fine, then death. And this is where we need your help! If you, a friend or perhaps in the future a descendent is approached in an improper fashion please report it!
Pickpocketing event It was suggested that there may be an opportunity for community-wide events to be hosted in the future. In light of the recent pass-the-baton event and the upcoming V-day memorial this was not considered a time critical issue, but we would like to remind the whole community that suggested events are always welcome! It was suggested by @Midnight that a pickpocketing event could be held, potentially on a last-man-standing or team-play basis. It was agreed that a detailed proposal would be written up and put forward to the other families.
Chicago Casino - opening ceremony It was raised by Godfather @Bonkers that while the Chicago Casino currently remains under construction it would not be long (assuming no administrative hiccoughs which can never be guaranteed on such a complicated project!) before it would open its gates to visitors from all cities. In order to highlight the city as a gaming hub there would likely be an associated opening ceremony.
New York A question on the lips of many was the future of the city of New York, a subject recently raised in the streets by one @JaryllJocchai. It was announced that Chicago and LV were agreeing a solution and that this would be announced in the not too distant future. In the meantime it was announced that the annexed city of Philadelphia would report to Godfather @Disorder and Las Vegas.
So there you have it.
I'd like to thank everybody that attended, and look forward to our next meet already. |

Roll out of his bed, lights a blunt and rolls into the street to catch Don Borkers talking to the population. After listening carefully to the Don of Chicago. He puts out his blunt! And walks forward towards Don Borkers. Walks past the heavy contingent of bodyguards at hand and shakes the Don's hand.
Sir, perhaps I've been sleeping for too long and missed all the goodies that have been happening. But I like this system implemented by the new administration, where the leaders come out and give the local mobsters a synopsis of what the bosses are talking about these days, behind closed doors.
Searches for his cigar case in his coat, offers the Don a cigar. Lights it and walks away after shaking the Dons hand.
Boss, I cant wait for this new Casino!!! |

Noticing several well renown members from across the world begin to cluster around a single man in the streets giving a speech. Wishing to see what all the commotion was about Ezreal begins to walk over. After getting within several feet between the man he notices it is the beloved Godfather, Bonkers of Chicago. Grinning he lights up a cigarette, not knowing how long this speech will take he finds himself a nice spot to plot down as he listens to the Godfather speak. Ezreal sits up and brushes off the dirt from his pants. After being given the break down of the crew leader meeting that was held he decides to give his two cents. I look forward to seeing our fine city acquire their own Casino in the near future and shall start stashing away some funds to celebrate the special occasion. I'm also really excited to see the pick pocket competition pan out. I've always been more of duo kinda guy so it would be nice if this were based off last team standing giving a group a big prize in the end of some sort. Finally, rest well to the fallen members of New York. It was a sad day waking up to reading your friends names in the obituaries but unfortunately this is a common thing is this dangerous world we live in. I do look forward to seeing what comes of the fine city of New York. Lights himself up another cigarette and begins to trail off back home. |

Bonkers taps Ezreal on the shoulder and chuckles. I assume you mean Don Bonkers...his features are uncanny aren't they though and the delivery was striking...though I say so myself...himself...who knows... Mother says we're not even related...apparently.... Nonetheless, I applaud the speed with which he has come out here to address our community following this meeting. I thank everyone for their input. |

Ezreal couldn't help but burst into a laughter frenzy thinking to himself maybe Godfather Bonkers and himself may need to lay off the booze for a while with all this misidentification on who was giving the speech in the streets. Seems not only did I mistake this doppelganger for being you...but you seemed to of thought you were looking in the mirror when correcting me. Grins as he rubs his neck tensely hoping not to be swimming for it was a cold ass day in Chicago today. |

After attending the crew leader meeting Jigga set off to run a few errands before getting back to his work. Before he could get away he noticed Don Borkers giving a recap to the masses of the latest Crewleader meeting. Jigga had just attended this meeting so he knew he would not hear new information but instead decided to stick around and here a few of the comments about such meeting. "I would have to agree with two things. First off LordSnow, this is the perfect time for a blunt." Jigga takes out a box of pre-rolled blunts and offers Don Borkers one and hands LordSnow another one "Secondly I agree that this new system of keeping the masses informed on what most will deem behind closed door conversations is awesome. This is something my fathers do not mention much of if at all in all the journals they left me. This is a practice I would love to see continue" |

Supernova was sitting on the side of the road. Stoned as usual, with a mixture of booze and weed. He took one sip from his flask and laid it next to him. He almost couldn't hear the words spoken from Don @Borkers. He stood up immediately in respect after recognizing the voice. His vision blurred, but he was still able to speak coherently. Thank you, Don Borkers. Aswell as rest of the leaders around this nation. It's times like these that give me hope, the inner-dealings behind the scenes. It keeps everyone included, and feel apart of something. I appreciate that. I'm sure we can come to an conclusion when it comes to hiring workers. We just need to set down an template, for these newer cities to follow and the rest should fall into place. Well, when it comes to New York, I would like to send my deepest apologizes to the fallen members. I do hope the leaders of Chicago and Las Vegas can come to an consensus on how to proceed with this empty city. Maybe we can spin an entire new thing on this city? Who knows, but I eagerly await the answers. |
