Buttercup & Westley Started by: Argyle on Feb 28, '17 04:28

Walking towards a group of people, he cleared his throat and began to speak almost immediately. It had taken a while for this speech to happen, a bit longer than he wanted; but it was finally time to discuss the demise of Buttercup and Westley (and Noodles, too.)

It's true, the shots were both mine, but I didn't fire either of them. In fact, the one shot that I took whizzed straight past the man's head and lodged into a tree a few yards behind him, leaving me to believe he was rather lucky on the whole ordeal, but now that he too lays dead I suppose everyone wants to know the dramatic details of why exactly this happened.

Almost immediately after setting up, Buttercup began trying to get me to make her a list of every unsponsored gangster in the land for her and her men to shoot. It was innocent enough, but the constant pestering for such a thing from me when she could have just made one herself lead me to believe that I was being used in a way, I did not like it, this was strike one.

The second came with Westley, who set up nearly a week later. It felt to me that they were attempting to expand and while this was within the rules of the annexed cities and there was nothing specifically against such a movie; when I was given the opportunity to make it an issue, I gladly did so. Due to their extremely low favor and standing with the other cities, myself and the other leaders of Philadelphia believed that them branching out was quite frankly stupid.

The third strike however, was just because I simply wanted to. When I was given the option of letting them live or die, I chose death and there's not much more to it than that. The first two strikes were annoyances to be sure, and helped me make this choice when the opportunity presented itself. One that I would make again in the same position.

Quickly turning around before leaving.

Speaking of positions, I'm also a bit of a sexual deviant. I admit this fully and will gladly field any questions about it if you have any, and I thank you for your time.

I adore very blunt speeches :)

Don BlackJack stamps removes his cigarette from his mouth just long enough to utter a few words:

"Must be a family thing... Her mother was the same."

Don BlackJack replaces the cigarette and takes a few puffs before turning away and walking off.

Tarlo listened to the speech before bluntly nodding a agreement to both Don BlackJack's and Don Argyle's words. She had very little to say on the matter but from the stories her mother had left behind in her passing she knew that Don Argyle was in the right to have done what he did.

She bowed her head before speaking. "Very well said Don Argyle. And Don BlackJack, I am sure you are right." She nodded and took her leave to attend to business.

Sky shook his head while smiling, it was a much shorter and simpler speech than he had expected but it was always good to have clear decisve answers in cases like this. that is unless the story behind the killings was an interesting one. in this case it was not.

"sounds simple and easy enough."

Sky follows Don BlackJack, careful to stay within his circle of  guards, smiling as he swiped a few of their wallets but a quick wrap on the head when Black Jack caught him trying for his.

Bjorn approaches the crowd listening in on Argyle's speech. He'd nod his head simultaneously, taking in the key points and agreeing to valid arguments. He lowers his arm placing his hand inside of his front left pocket withdrawing a cigarette and a lighter, he'd light the cigarette taking a few puffs before speaking rather swiftly.

Everything happens for a reason, you made your choice with valid support behind it. Let's hope, those dreams don't keep you up at night.

Bjorn drops his cigarette, placing his right foot over it, pivoting his foot back and forth to burn it out. Afterward shifting his figure, departing from the scene.

Returning home from a long day of work Ezreal finds himself passing a group of folks gathered together discussing the recent death of ButterCup and Westley. He hadn't read the obituaries today so hearing this bit of gossip was all news to him. Becoming a bit intrigued as to the deaths he begins to walk slowly behind the group that seemed to of been present during the later speech Argyle had given.

"This reminds me of a Romeo and Juliet scenario. It's unfortunate their lives were lost but if the reasons were just who am I to morn two strangers?"

Ezreal shrugs

"At least in the end they will have each other in the afterlife."

Lifting the collar of his jacket he places his hands into his pants pockets and begins heading to the nearest airport back home.
