Our poker bots (The ones labeled as bots and named after Presidents and VPs) are powered by logic that tells them how to play and what to play in what situation. Its basically assigning point values to different card combinations and if those point values reach certain thresholds, check, fold, double, whatever. There is no actual "coding" you do not need to be a programmer. You are assigning point values and using real life poker strategy to do this. Soooo here is the competition: The bots will all be sat at a table and play against each other, with no rake, hour after hour after hour until only one remains. The buy in is 5 million per person, the bot can be named whatever you like. You will be given an example list of values that you can alter. You will take said numbers, set them to how you want your bot to perform. That bot will then be thrown in a random table to play against other bots. If there is only enough to play 1 table, then winner takes all. If there are multiple tables, the winner at each table in semi finals will split the 50%. They will then compete in a finals table, to where the winner takes the remaining 50%. Logic Guide: PokerBotCompLogic.doc (PDF Version) Logic Examples: |

When you pay the admission fee (Send to Squishy) and contact me to submit your logic, we can launch your beta bot on a password protected low dollar table for you or you friends to play around with prior to the actual event to help hone it. We can update your logic file 3 times only up until the start of Vday. The 3rd and final update will be the one that is used against other bots in the Bot-On-Bot-Action that kicks off immediately after Vday. It is very important that you double triple and quadruple check your logic file to ensure that you followed the instructions to the T. You are only allowed a total 2 retries. |

Might I suggest you run this similar to a poker tournament with paying the top 10% in prizes? |

Can we purchase more than one bot per person for this? Just to try out some different "styles" and see which might last the longest?
Also, without actively watching the "Bot Game", will a breakdown of the hands be available for those interested in seeing the results? |

You can purchase as many as you want. You cant see the bots cards live as it happens, (its just like watching another player, you can only see when they show their cards) but, I may be able to come up with some post-game summary stuff. |

It did BlackJack. From my understanding, the heads up portion of the game lasted nearly 4 hours after the first 8/10 players were eliminated.
Wish I could have watched it, or even had a "Hand Log" of the game. Would be interesting to see how the 10 bots played. Maybe Squishy could get that information for us. *wink wink* |
