Why We Fight....

Fear? Fear is a good reason. It is always best to confront one's fears. Maybe we fear those stronger than us, that they might kill us all. Maybe we fear those weaker than us, fearing they might grow stronger, stronger than us if given time. But is fear the best reason to fight? One could fear of losing, fear death, fear of that fact that one lucky bullet could end every single thing you have worked hard for to create. People can also fear betrayal; fear that tonight, when you go to sleep could be your last ever. Fear is a good reason, but not the best.

Why We Fight....

Pride? Not the best of reasons. It’s never good to be too proud. Being proud can be considered a fault, sometimes a disadvantage if an enemy knows how to make it so. Pride can border its near cousin arrogance. Is arrogance a good reason to fight? I wouldn’t think so. But then there is good pride. Pride for ones city, pride for ones soldiers, and pride for everything you have created. But then though we can be proud for everything you have, we still go back to fear. Fear of losing everything we are proud of.

Why We Fight....

Wealth? Well, now this is a reason most common to why we fight. Everyone loves money. Everyone wants money. Money can buy us objects we desire, money can rid us of problems we fear, at the right price of course. You can be proud of the wealth you have gathered. But we must be careful with wealth, can make us stronger but is capable of bringing your downfall. Also everyone fears of losing their wealth. For wealth just makes everything else seem a bit easier to get.

Why We Fight...

Loyalty? A fair reason loyalty is. We fight because we are loyal to our crew leader, we fight because we are loyal to our friends, and we fight because we are loyal to our city. But loyalty is not always there for you. You may be loyal to your crew leader til he decides to end your life after only a minor mistake. You may be loyal to friends, but always have fear of the day your friends turn on you and throw their loyalty out the window. Fear that though your city is loyal to you, it will only last as long as you keep them happy, your subjects a quick to forget the wealth, strength and joys you give them if you give them moments of disaster.

Honour? This is the best reason to fight, for honour of your country, of your city, of your family. Someone disrespects you, you fight them in honour of your name. Honour is a good thing and there is nothing wrong with two people fighting it out for honour. Only problem though, honour has no place here. I hear others calling out they killed people for honour. But where is the honour in anything we do here? We snatch purses off innocent people who have done nothing wrong. We extort shop owners who are just trying to make a living but out of greed for wealth we make their lives hell. We rob post offices disrupting society. Where is the honour here? There is none. For us to say we fight here for honour is to spit on what honour is about. Where is the honour in wiping out a entire city? Hundreds of lives gone in the blink of an eye while most of them are sleeping peacefully. Where is the honour in killing people in their sleep. Strange, those who do this could just as easily face the city one on one, all their people awake and all their enemies people awake and they would still win yet they choose to still kill people in their sleep. We are mobsters, ruthless people who have no honour, if you are a person about honour then you are in the wrong career my friend. There is nothing honourable about what we do. Honour is a good reason to fight, but it’s not the reason why WE fight.

Respect? We can fight to earn respect; we can fight to demand respect. People will follow you to death if they respect you. But it is not easy to gain respect. There is respect for the position you hold, and then respect for you as a person. People who are loyal to you will more likely to respect you. Though one wrong deed and you can lose all the respect you have. But you can fear to lose respect. But it always easier to command people out of fear then respect. Make them fear you and you can still control them. But respect shouldn’t really be a reason to fight for if you respect someone then you would fight them with honour, but honour has no place here.

Why We Fight...

Power? This is why we fight. Everyone craves power, you can say you don’t want it. But once you have it you somehow find it harder to let it go. Power can make people fear you there by you have more control over them. Power can bring you wealth, more then you could have imagined. They say wealth brings you power, which can be true. But Power always brings you wealth. You can be proud with the power you have. You can command loyalty by bringing those below you to your level of power. You can earn respect by achieving such amount of power. Power can do all this for you but there can also be a downside. You can make people fear you til they begin to hate you, and then they turn on you. You can fear losing the power you have. Where does loyalty stand when those you have helped grow and start to be more powerful then you? Can you share power with someone else? Most people can’t. Power will bring you wealth, but wealth can't buy you everything. You can be so proud of your power that you become arrogant, this is never good. One major point you will remember but always try to forget it is that power never lasts forever, empires never last forever, everything that goes up must come down. Some take longer than other of course. Power is why we fight, such a shame it couldn’t be for honour.

I believe it is not power we seek

it's the positive energy that comes with it! which drives us to crave for more power! which is wrong.
We should seek the Energy brought from power not the other way around!

bottom line, we fight / we get power along with that big positive energy / we seek more power to increase that energy instead of grabbing hold of that energy/power and not getting greedy!

The only problem there DOMq, is that it is a natural human thing (I don't know if that's the right word) to want more. I mean if you were given $500 then its a natural for a human to want more then what they have. Many say.. Oh id be satisfied with $500 but If they were then asked do you want another $100 free they wouldn't say no to be honest some people might but many wouldn't.

Why we fight

   Lets add up the reasons

Most of us fight for human instinct, their may be many other reasons but mankind has dedicated it's life to warfare. The first invention we made was a stick for bashing and then we realised if we sharpened it we'd move up in the food chain.But my Reasons:

Instinct: Like I said, when you bash something, something is triggered in your brain that makes you feel bigger. But you have to control this for you to truly feed the hunger.

Loyalty: Yes, I fight for loyalty, loyalty for my godfather who brought me into this world.

Power: Yes, It's only human to want the bigger stick, but you have to know how to use it.

Respect: Yes, No respect and theirs no point in power.

I think there may have been one we might have missed. Fogive if you think i am crazy im not intending to be. Allow me to show you why I fight. I dont fight for honor i fight for the honor of others however. I do not fight for my power rather the power of others. I fight for loyalty true but why would i put my life on the line for someone? Why would Singer risk his own neck for another. As corrupt and evil as i am i still have a heart and inside this heart there is something that is stronger than all of these combined. I call it love for its the only thing i could imagine. I know i have no sons or daughters that will carry my name when im gone so why would i put it all on the line for TheSandman and Godfather Serotonin? love, Is my only answer.Everyone has there own definition of love but let me explain one of my definitions of love. The Love of a brother.

Heywood c. Broun once spoke and said,"Brotherhood is not just a bible word. Out of comradeship can come and will come the happy life for all."

I hear your words now,"Singer youre crazy anyone of your brothers would shoot you if they were told to." Yeah I know that would only happen if i screwed up and how would i screw up? If i went against brotherhood if i betrayed my brothers then i go against all i am i go against all i have become and so i should die. They no longer would take out SINGER but the imposter who poses to be SINGER. To believe in brotherhood is to have a hope that many families have never had. In the course of working in New York and with Phillys Finest and now in the beautiful St. Louis i have learned what brotherhood is. Its the hardest thing because no one wants to be vulnerable like that and when a family member comes to you and asks you for help and is vulnerable with you thats where the brother stands out from the friends. The brother will pick you up and carry you to where you need to go.

I belive that inside of brotherhood is Loyalty is A Pride that you have so and so for your brother a Power that is unlike any other power and a respect that is only what given because they, the brothers, have seen your highs and lows. I feel that to be a brother to someone else you have to put the heart of your brother before your own. You have to care more for him then yourself.

So Then what would be the close? What would make Brotherhood so strong? love. I believe Love is what contains, well at least me. If i did not love my family if i didnt tell my brother, "Brothers to the End" Than i dont think id love my family. It is most definitely a growing thing but when you get there when you love your family you wont just fight for your family you would also Die for them. I would not lay down my life for a contract i would not lay down my life for power or respect. I do it out of love. With that comes honor and with that shows the greatest loyalty with that shows the greatest power. The power to die for those you love. My only pride is that i can walk down the streets and see a younger brother, a younger Nightmare and show him the ropes.

So if you consider me crazy i understand. This mobster hardcore killing boss loves other mobsters? Yeah and id die and kill in the drop of a pen for any of them to. Thats what love is. Whether you recognize it or not. So some fight for this and that, not SINGER. SINGER fights for brotherhood through love, because of love. Master Snip it was an honor to have been able to speak here brother i appreciate your great thought and im even more pleased that you brought it to the street.

The thing is SINGER, love may be a better reason then some of these others morally, but in our world in can have devastating effects. Love can lead someone on the wrong path. Love can blind you of a friends faults. Love can make you stand by a crew leader though it is the wrong place to be. Love can get in the way of business and effect the power you could possibly obtain.I believe if someone lets the idea of love control them to much it could in the end cause more pain and suffering. It's true love is a good reason to fight but the thing is, love and fighting shouldn't really mix. It's a bad combination. Love shouldn't really have a place here, just like honour. But that doesn't mean it still wont be around.

I beleive I fight mostly cause I suck at talking. Among other reasons I belive this is the #1.
