LA - A reason? Started by: WellWhatTheF on Mar 13, '17 08:03

Walking into the devils arena, he looks around at the faces knowing how many of these killers are here and looking at him now. He may be a new man, his own man, but he can't help but feel like he is almost possessed with the knowledge and memories of another, maybe its that he was in so much contact with his father and had been spending the last few days reading all the overly-detailed memoirs of Gabriel that he feels like him now.

He straightens up, clears his throat and begins his little piece.

"Many of you will not know me and I'm pretty sure even less will end up getting to know me any further. That is just the way of things I suppose. I came here for on my Fathers behalf as, well he can't. I know you thought that as an Angel he may be able to float down to this mortal world and address you his self but, well that just wouldn't be realistic now would it"

"He would like you to know what happened with the fall of LA. I feel that are a quite a few out there who would to love to know the reasons. Especially those who were part of that great city and where left homeless, after being picked up by the LA crews for being 'Homeless' when they landed on theses shores and joined our world. Just like the Favour system asked them to do?"

"So here it is. LA and the residents of LA were doing there job's well they were recruiting, they were training those new to these shores in our ways, they were building a community and rebuilding the dead city of LA. They were out in the streets discussing and providing opinions. They competing in the Community's own events and for there size done considerably well. Maybe that was a reason in itself for there own downfall...Paranoia, maybe they were considered a threat, that they could organise a event or two together, that maybe in time they would bite the hand that fed them! Who knows, although we all now that Paranoia is real, epically to those that have lost there rational minds with too much power"

"No though that was not the reason, the reason must of only been that whilst following the exact rules marked down here in the streets of what to do and how to do and when to do. They well had, no I should be carful with this word but they had Fun. Damm I said it so maybe now I should get my own affairs in order. I will be killed for that I'm sure. We all now that we are not here to enjoy ourselves"

"Now before all you all the Las-Vegans come out here to attack me and call me salty etc, just take a moment to take your heads out of the Derrière that you have it stuck up and stop feeding in the Bull that is coming out of it. I don't want your opinion, I don't want to hear a word from you, it would be muffled anyhow. I have said my piece and I'm happy for it to die here like many before. This was just for people to listen to, not to comment, unless the Powers that be decide to actually come out with A reason, but I very much doubt it"

"Goodbye I need to pack my coffin now, I have a feeling it wont be long"

"LA Gabriel loved you all"

A few quick things WellWhatTheF...

I don't want your opinion, I don't want to hear a word from you, it would be muffled anyhow. I have said my piece and I'm happy for it to die here like many before. This was just for people to listen to, not to comment, unless the Powers that be decide to actually come out with A reason, but I very much doubt it

First the most important....

Fuck off.

These are the streets. These are our streets where we, including everyone in this thing of ours, come to have public discussion and debate.

If you don't want that, leave them and go sit quietly in the corner. Don't come out here telling people who can and can't engage in those discussions. That's not how shit works. Anyone who is confident they are raising valid and reasoned points of conversation would gladly welcome any and all input from wherever it might come from. It's worth remembering all this when you're trying to win over the opinion of others rather than actively alienating them and putting them in opposition to you from the start.

Maybe that was a reason in itself for there own downfall...Paranoia, maybe they were considered a threat, that they could organise a event or two together, that maybe in time they would bite the hand that fed them! Who knows, although we all now that Paranoia is real, epically to those that have lost there rational minds with too much power

Paranoia can be real. It can happen. However, it's claimed to happen far more than it ever does happen. In the vast majority of cases people aren't killed out of paranoia, they're killed because they weren't liked or the other side simply wanted them dead. Neither of those two mean paranoia.

In most cases it's not that the other side feared an attack, they normally didn't care if an attack was coming and it wouldn't have changed things if they knew an attack wasn't coming. They just didn't want to see the other side live.

Sometimes it's down to business. In this thing of ours, there is only so much crime and so much money to go around. Money that you have as a leader is money someone else doesn't. That often doesn't sit too well.

Sometimes it's down to power. In this thing of ours, there is only so many soldiers to go around. Soldiers you might have as a leader are soldiers someone else doesn't. That often doesn't sit too well.

Sometimes it's personal. This thing of ours is a pretty tight knit group. Hang around a while and you'll quickly get to know the faces. Hand around beyond that and you'll quickly get to know the personalities behind those faces. Sometimes, personalities clash. That often doesn't sit too well.

Not everything is paranoia and fear of attack. Sometimes it's far more or less calculated than that.

No though that was not the reason, the reason must of only been that whilst following the exact rules marked down here in the streets of what to do and how to do and when to do. They well had, no I should be carful with this word but they had Fun. Damm I said it so maybe now I should get my own affairs in order. I will be killed for that I'm sure. We all now that we are not here to enjoy ourselves

This is one heck of a leap of faith there. And by a leap of faith, I do mean a blatant logical fallacy.

'I'm saying it wasn't one thing while doing nothing to back up that claim or prove it, so it clearly must be something completely random that makes little sense'? Really? That's what you're throwing out there?

Please give those of us who paid some attention to your words a little more credit than that.

If you're suggesting that your father's city really did excel at the criteria laid down before them, show it. Back it up. Go through the lists, identify what was expected and show how the city managed to meet or exceed those expectations. As an outsider looking in I can think of a few I'd guess you might have fallen short on, but I'm open to correction there if you can change my mind and it's the one way in which you might change the opinion of others too.

Your argument loses a large amount of credibility when you then go off on a random tangent that it was all about 'fun'. I'll choose to ignore that part and pretend it never happened. The rest appeared quite coherent, if a little flawed, so I'm not sure where that little anomaly came from. It does you no favors, though.

Well TsuDhoNimh you are so right there, these are our streets and we can say and do what we like, just as you can tell me to Fuck off, I can tell everyone to not to reply or join in.

I would like to slightly apologies, as if this had been my Father who had spoken out here it would of been much better as he was quite practiced and was continually trying to improve. I myself being that my father was shot too young in life, am but barley in to double figures of my life yet. The ironic thing is, he would be happy to see you posting here as her was always a avid fan.

So with the grief of my father still sitting on me, and no clue as to why it happened other than because it does here. I needed to let of some steam, have a rant, shout aloud at what could of been the reason for it. Again I could be wrong for doing that, but well I can. I must say once I had my outburst however poorly it was delivered I felt so much better for it. I can see why so many do it. There is just something that sometimes need to be said, right or wrong, good or bad.

As for why he died or rather why the whole of LA died, you may actually know more than I/they do. he knew for his own conviction that he had done most of the requirements and was continuing to do more. He contributing out here in the streets, and the business districts. He was taking in the new bloods and teaching them our ways. He was working with in his own city to build relationships and begin projects together. He was reaching out to other cities and beginning to build bridges for the future. He encouraged his members to air there opinions too and venture out into the world. The only thing I know that he did not do and maybe it was the killer reason, he never paid any money!

In fact it was only a few days before his untimely death that the powers had granted LA permission to grow, which seemed to imply that they were in favour or you would of thought the conversation would of gone different. Maybe something along the lines of "You ain't done enough to impress on us your worth and you know what may happen if that's the case"?

Well if you can shed any light onto what they had missed out on doing to impress the powers, then please feel free to share it.

Acer was strolling by when a conversation caught his attention.  The well versed and well spoken tsudhonimh was speaking his mind as he often does. Acer stopped and put his eyes to the ground as he joined the two men.

"Tsudhonimh, you make me feel like I am back sitting in my classroom before I dropped out for this life.  You ask for facts, you continually push us all as members to get more information to make better decisions.  For that - I must personally commend you.  I think that one thing that has become obvious in these times is that facts don't matter.  Feelings don't matter.  And unfortunately - effort doesn't matter either.  Reasons don't matter.  Nothing really matters in the end."

"What happened - well it happened.  It's happened before, and it will happen again."

Perhaps feeling slightly paranoid - Acer looks over his shoulder behind him as he walks away.
