GAME CHANGE: Sponsor No Contacts - Toggle HQ Started by: Squishy on Mar 14, '17 23:52

When a number of no-contacts happen from your sponsors, your HQ will be toggled to Full Status, removing you from the job board until the CL or RHM can verify the status/toggle of their sponsors and HQ is what its supposed to be at.  Once the CL/RHM determines that everything is OK, they can choose to toggle the HQ back on.

I'd like to add something to this Izzy if I may, I do agree with turning off sponsorship if a person fails to reach out to the member trying to get recruited. But what about the person on the other side when a member of ours messages this person and don't respond to us.... But yet continue to perform jobs for my crew we resend a different message to reach out for them and they have yet to try to contact us. They should at least respond to us stating they didn't wanna job. Seems they just after taking our job money cause Ive seen a person do 10 jobs and not respond once.

Aye, sounds like a frustrating situation, if you feel they are in it just for the money, then you can exercise your Fire option which takes you off of the job board so they can no longer do your jobs.

I agree with ThinkinOutLoud, and I do understand we have a fire button. However for example the issue Denzel was having earlier where I did not contact him, was because he didn't fully complete all of our jobs. The way I contact people is only after they fully finished all 5 jobs. Simply because we get tons of people doing jobs for us, and there are tons of people doing a few jobs and then quit. However sometimes they do come back a little later. I suppose in Denzel's case I was simply waiting a bit because he was still online at the time, so I gave him an opportunity to still finish our jobs. He however did not, so I eventually fired him.

You have to understand, 9 out of 10 recruitment mails that are sent out by our sponsors are being ignored. Like ThinkinOutLoud said, I feel there could at least be some sort of a response telling us they're either not interested, or perhaps they have found another crew that interests them. It's common courtesy in my opinion.

With sponsorship there are a lot of factors I look at before contacting someone. Is the person sending out a 100 message in under 30 minutes? That tells me the person is most likely not new to these shores. Of course the UE symbol (unverfied email). Has the person been posting messages in the streets, implying he's upset over someone's death and is out for revenge? These are all factors that come into play when you are a sponsor. So I guess what i'm trying to say is, I understand this game change, and as a sponsor should always pay attention to job notifications, however sometimes it's not always clear what kind of person you're dealing with. Sometimes I prefer to wait a bit just to see what the person is all about, instead of firing him right away.

PrettyBoyFloyd,

Right now the Job board says "Doing 3+ jobs for the same family will alert them to contact you and unlock the next part of the game."

This sends a very mixed message to the user.

06:18 - First job done
06:19 - Second job done
06:21 - Third job done, you were notified (At this point the user is told they will be contacted)
06:52 - You were automatically toggled off for going a half hour past the third job without contacting or firing.
07:15 - They did a 4th job.
07:22 - You fired them.

Would it help if I broke the board into sections, those that respond after 3, and those that respond later on?  I'm just trying to come up with a solution so that the standard way of doing things along with the text included at the top of the job board don't possibly send a mixed signal that clashes with the way you guys do things.

Yeah honestly that does sound good. Personally I was honestly never aware about that notification users get after 3 jobs done. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have come up with that. I pretty much decided that for myself to seperate those who had done 5 jobs and those who didn't. Simply to seperate the ones who are truly interested in joining the family.

Denzel contacted me just now and we talked it out. According to his screen he had done the 5 jobs, but according to my screen he had only done 4. Obviously I also waited for 30 minutes and my sponsorship was automatically turned off, so I fired him after that. I suppose this was a misunderstanding. Obviously this was nothing personal either, so I apologized and it's water under the bridge now.

Denzel did however show me this just now.

Doing 3+ jobs for the same family will alert them to contact you and unlock the next part of the game.
Work for... Payout
It appears that no crews have work for you right now, but we set up this temp job to do until a crew job is ready shortly. $80
The Mattsr crew does not currently have any work for you.
The Argyle crew does not currently have any work for you.
The Kathryn crew does not currently have any work for you.
The Brant crew does not currently have any work for you.

If i'm being completely honest here, I think I speak for every family out there when I say that we are all a little cautious about who we bring into our family lately. Reasons for this are pretty clear I think, but perhaps this also causes confusion for people who are new. But breaking the board into sections sounds like a good idea. And I appreciate you trying to come up with a solution. And I will also adjust my ways just to prevent confusion in the future.

From what i've heard, its not just caution. many have excersized the right not to allow people to join a crew unless the person gives all their family history. Given its a role play game and many people enjoy starting over without ties, its very off putting to these users if are restricted on who they can join because of this.

Clearly recruiting isn't hard though, if people can still use such methods and expect to fill a family.
