Sunny days and dark nights lit up by the streetlights and the stars. Soft foot steps echoing down the streets in the dead of night. " Ever wondered how much disappointment hurts? Ever wondered how you it felt just to be considered someone lowly under the dirt that some walk on. Well some do not seem to notice, but others see if pretty damn well. When you tell someone that you will help, or other things. It doesn't mean go back on those words. The words you speak, are stronger then you think. Some may see it others wont. But when others realize that they have done wrong by not following through or respecting others. It messes with everything in everyone's sight. " Secra pondered on the words her ancestors spoke all the time. Written in each little memo book was that small insert. She gave a soft sigh and walked around alone. Pushed off and forgotten about on the daily. She stared out at the street, before continuing to walk alone. The rain started falling after a while as she thought her luck could not get any worse then this. Cars passing the occasional sirens going off in the distance. She walked into a ally and sat quietly during the dawn as the sun came up. When the sun rose high the streets were busy. Closing her eyes as she relaxed under the shade and hiding from odd stares. She did not mind feeling out of place. But.... she could not bare being taunted. Her mother had taught her to stay strong and work hard. To treat everyone as a equal. But the fear she had that nipped her heels never left this child. She looked at the ground and shuddered reciting to herself.
She looked down at her hands and stood come sunset when everyone was getting home for the night. Heading to the docks, she picked some flowers. White rose's, red roses, purple tulips. She went to the large tree where there sat a black cat wooden plaque, a white rabbit plague and a white cat plaque, sticking up from the ground. Placing the flowers down she faced them and spoke. "Some of your friends.... are interesting... I am glad to have met them." She turned her head and looked at the sunset rethinking her questions and answering them herself allowed.
She stood up and dusted off her dress. Picking her book up she wandered back towards the street and onto the road walking as the cars drove around her till she reached the other side. |
