Crazy Nine had been meditating for long in his office all weekend. He wasn't returning phone calls and he was starting to make people wonder what was going on. He finally decided to make a few phone calls and get all his most trusted associates from all the crews in Philly.

I gathered you all today as I have an important announcement to make. With most of Philadelphia running smoothly I feel like we can expand onto the South side of the city. I know our crews are not completely full to justify a new Captain. However I feel this young man deserves his chance and I can't keep holding him back any longer.

I'd like to officially announce the newest addition to our families in Philadelphia. Nujabes has served in my capacity for quite a time in my personal crew and I have nothing but the utmost faith that he'll do his South Street district and his city proud; Philadelphia's success relies on on the loyalty and selflessness of its members, and it's always warming to see what an organization can become when it has flourished as lucky as I've had the privilege to witness.

I am positive he will make me and philly proud and I am looking forward to what further great things Nujabes can bring to Philadelphia as a crew leader"

I appreciate the opportunity, Godfather. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity, and I'll make the best out of the chance I've been given here. I was born and raised in West Philadelphia before I immigrated.. The playground that I had memories with is now a business district, but I can still remember when I was able to play basketball after I had moved back. You gave me a chance that day, giving a few ominous glares to the marks that were giving me a hard time - you even gave me your card. A few weeks later, I took a memorable cab ride to your hillside mansion and you were grateful enough to grant me employment that day. And many years later - here we are.


I've gone on a bit of a ramble, but I'm forever in debt to you for this privilege. Feel free to drop by our newly opened café - I've heard it serves a killer espresso.

Well I must say this is defiantly not something one gets to wake up to everyday; on my way about business today I felt something was different about the south side. Defiantly for the better, hell the air even smells better.

Can’t help but to be overwhelmingly happy to see my home city expand for the better, Congratulations Nujabes!

CrazyNine is one hell of a Godfather, and if he feels you are ready for such journey then I know the rest of Philly does as well. It’s nice to see that your hard work has paid off, and I’m sure you will do great.

James walks up to the commotion and shakes a piece of hair from his face, grinning with his trademark smirk from ear to ear. Flicking a cigarette into the hell of the nearest civvy, he walks right up to Nujabes and shakes his hand.

"I don't know as if we've ever talked, but my grandpa and your father worked very closely in LA. Without your fathers help, my line wouldn't be where it's at today. Hopefully you've taken a leaf from his book, he was a good man."
