Nihilism Strikes New York Started by: TsuDhoNimh on Apr 01, '17 20:10

Shaking some dust from his jacket and finally taking a sip from his hipflask, Tsu moves past some of the fallen debris and shattered glass in the aftermath of such chaos and destruction. He consoled himself in knowing that when so many others had been up fighting a war since the early hours of the morning, he had managed to sleep through much of it and had gotten a healthy full nights sleep while they battled for their lives. Old age and borderline narcolepsy are a poor combination it seems, but having someone in the ranks still able to put some words together for a quick speech would come in kind of handy.

I'll be keeping this one uncharacteristically short and directly to the point, with minimal meandering tangents. Dammit... I've already started slipping into my old ways, haven't I? Borkers had warned me not to do that, but if nobody tells him I screwed it up we'll probably be fine.

Following the tragic loss of Faceman earlier today, may he rest in peace and remain in the thoughts of all of New York, a new building had to be quickly put in place to take care of those left homeless in tragic events. This wasn't a case of rebuilding after a war, this was simply a case of surviving it and getting through it. In typical fashion, TheNihilist stood up to the plate and did what was needed by his city in a difficult situation.

Not dwelling on the personal loss he had suffered losing a leader, not dwelling on the loss he had suffered losing so many close family members, he stepped into the gap and did what was required of him in exemplary fashion. Our thoughts and wishes will be going out to all of those friends and family we lost in the coming days, but first, we must take the steps to get the business back on track and start to steady the direction of this thing of ours.

For those of us that knew him well, the man's actions were of no surprise. The circumstances are far from what any of us would have hoped for but seeing the man donning a bold suit is certainly not a surprise or a knee-jerk decision. I take great pride, and exhaustion, in being able to now welcome him to the masses as an official authorized leader here in Brooklyn. The doors to La Fratellanza Oscura have now been opened to the public and we can't wait to see what he and his entire family can go on to achieve from here.

Thank you, @TsuDohNimh, for your kind words. The honor is truly mine to stand beside you, Borkers, and Reggie here in New York.

I will, of course, be making my own appearance and speech. Obviously at this moment I am insanely busy and can't say much.

But I do feel it is necessary to take a moment and thank you for the opportunity.

And also to remember Faceman. He was an excellent leader and an even better friend. His death will not have been in vain, I shall see to that. And also my dear BigBlackWidow, her contributions were numerable and I will miss her dearly.

Amy sighed to herself as her eyes scanned the telegram TsuDohNimh had sent her. "I'm in charge of teaching TheNihilist manners??" she questioned aloud, clearly perplexed. She honestly didn't know how the hell he expected her to teach anything to a guy she'd never met, regardless if her lineage called him a friend. Nevertheless, she packed her bags, making sure not to forget her mother's journals - she was going to need all the help she could get.

After she arrived in Brooklyn, she made her way over to a small gathering of people, thankful she hadn't been too late. She appreciated that the speeches were short and sweet as she was ready to get settled in her new home, and quite frankly her attention span was shit.

"TsuDohNimh, glad to see you again," she smiled as she approached them, always a fan of puppies. Amy directed her attention to TheNihilist and peered over her sunglasses. "I hear congratulations are in order! As we both know, it wasn't through the best of circumstances, but after reading my mother's journals, it sounds like you're the right guy to help build this city back up. Thank you for taking me in. Super proud of you using your courtesy words up there too, there's hope for you yet!"

Phil wonders around and notices the large gathering around New York. He heads over towards it before his return to the twinjet to head back to base. He notices TheNilhilist setting up his new HQ and heads on over to Congratulate the man.

"TheNihilist, you're an asset to New York and although the circumstances aren't the best after the recent events of this wonderful country I would like to Congratulate you on behalf of myself and S.H.I.E.L.D on your new found position. We will be watching your progress with great joy. Congratulations once again. Now if you'll excuse me I have important inhumans to protect."

Phil heads over towards the local field where the twinjet is situated..

After travelling back from visiting the grave of his former leader, Faceman, Shelby steps through the glass to witness a new chapter in the NY tale. He sees his associates in attendance to see the birth of a new family. After greeting his former crew members, he manages to grab a quick word with TheNihilist..

"Congratulations, sir. You done an excellent job of keeping us all together under the circumstances, you brought us all back when we were all separated through war. You made sure we weren't lost and we all appreciate that, we really do. We are all here to help you rebuild what we have lost in memory of Faceman. I look forward to working with you and growing once again as close to the crew we were as possible because that's what Face would have wanted."

Shelby shakes TheNihilist's hand as he leaves to have a word with Tentacion about a crime they had been planning for a few hours.

After seeing the devastation the war had wreaked upon New York, Tentacion was an emotional mess. Since his father's passing just before the war, he vowed to take over his place and help rebuild the great city. Tentacion with tears in his eyes approached TheNihilist and said:

''Congratulations, boss. You're doing a great thing, thank you for looking out for my father. I'm hoping you can do the same for me. I promise I won't let you down. My condolences on the death of a good friend of yours and my father, Faceman''

Tentacion slips TheNihilist an envelope with 5 million dollars in it.

''This is from my father. He wanted you to have it.''

Tentacion leaves with Shelby to go snatch some purses.

Cato carefully steps over the dead bodies surrounding him. "War and then an army of Durden scum? Seems the streets were thirsty for a bloodbath." He gets to the center of town and hears Mr. Nimh speaking about his new boss. Well, not his new boss, because he was TheNihilist's associate before he set up. So in a way, Cato is pretty much the OG of this crew. Well, not more of an OG than TheNihilist. But let's be honest, can TheNihilist be an OG of anything? No. Therefore, Cato is the OG of La Fratellanza Oscura.

I understand that in a time of war choices have to be made, but are we sure he's the guy? I didn't get a chance to speak to Faceman before his death, but I have to believe this is a comedown. Maybe we should take some time, respect the post-war refractory period of decision-making, and come back to this in a bit when literally anyone else is available.

Bah, who am I kidding? He was there in a pinch and deserves it. And by "it," I mean the sheer volume of berating and harassment he'll receive as my leader. I mean, what's with all the dark, black decorations in the HQ?

The sun had long since set, so Cato drearily marched back to the somber HQ. I mean seriously, how hard is it to get some natural light in the place? I get it, we're solemn and pondering nihilists. Cool. But what if I need to read something? I know, I'll just blow out one of the external walls and make a patio. That's what we need. A patio.
