What an amazing city, always booming with energy, art and intellect. The thing Coltrane prefered was the music. The sweet sound of jazz music could be heard on every street, leaking out of bars and pubs and flooding the ears of nearby listeners. The syncopated beat of the drum, the bounce of the upright bass, the stress caused by the piano and the mellow sound of a brass, there wasn't better music on this earth. Coltrane was a lucky lad. His father had been an influent mafioso in the past and his power had landed him a spot in one of the best crews of New York, despite his stupid and unthought actions. He had learned the ways of the underground, selling drugs, stealing shit and even killing off scumbags. He had just gotten a bodyguard and he was already feeling like his father. One day, he returned to the Expandable Penguins HQ and noticed something that really annoyed him. They where all penguins. Real life penguins walking around in suits and trench coats, acting like normal humans. Why was he different? He never asked to be human, he wanted to be like them, with those cool little happy feet and flappy little arms. That was it. His choice had been taken, he needed to become a penguin. |

He walked towards one of the penguins, who walking like penguins walk, and attempted to start a conversation. He took out his classiest and most polite english, trying to impress the little animal. "Good day sir! Would you fancy a little discussion around a nice cup of tea?" he asked, with a gentleman like accent. The only answer he got was the clack of the little penguins beak. An absolute waste of time. Red with anger, he turned around in a dramatic fashion and quickly walked away trying to think of ways to mutate himself. He walked in his room, closely followed by his bodyguard, Chu Berry. The man had a lot of muscles, almost as if his brains had leaked into his arms. "Hummm... boss.... you could hum... dress up as a penguin?" he said, with a dumb low voice, scratching the lice out of his beard at the same time. "Don't be silly Chu, you know darn well I can't dress up as a penguin." quickly fired Coltrane, immediately skipping the idea. There had to be a way to achieve the full penguin phase, and he only knew one person who could help him, his boss. |
