Hello one and all,I am here to talk about a pet peeve of mine and I feel it is time I asked what the public's opinion about this is.I have come here to talk about the hijacking of recollections by men and and women who have had just too much to drink and have the wildest of imaginations.

To better illustrate this act, I would like to present a scenario to all of you.Suppose, a mate of mine and me were sitting in a bar and recounting how we managed to break an associate out of jail to anyone who would listen to us, a certain gentleman who has had just too much to drink jumps in and starts screaming about how we fucked up the jail break and how he rode in on his horse and wearing his shiny armour and how he saved us from the evil dragon menacing to eat us all up and how we married him in thanks for his rescue.Well, I would personally try to humour said induvidual for a few minutes but after a certain point of time it becomes too infuriating to be overlooked and then with no other choice my friend and I would have to put away the thrilling tale we were telling the rest of the people for another time.

Ok, If this induvidual had seen us actually do what we did, he would have a right to speak about it and if he had really saved us,yes, I would have probably agreed with him.However, I would not have known this person till he rudely interrupted what I was reciting to you all.

Well, now that the presentation of the scenario is done.I would liketo pose a question to you all.What is to be done?What is to be done when imbeciles like this interrupt and ruin what promised to be an enthralling tale?Well, I will be here waiting for your answers

He then stepped aside and waited for someone else to speak and to reply to this question he had asked.

Marley steps up on the soap box and back down off the soap box as he walks by. The crowd looks at him in anticipation of what he will say. Marley just looks back at the crowd and says

Ow, my apologizes. I was just trying to get to the other side and you fools were blocking the way.

Marley pulls a joint from behind his ear, lites it, and keeps walking

Clearly interrupting is rude and therefore that person should have waited for you story to finish before he tells his own.  No matter how boring your story is you have the right to tell it, without interruption.  And certainly there is no such thing as a bad jailbreak.  Either you break a fellow mafioso out, or you get caught which fills the jails for perhaps one of you collegues to help you out.

I must say, I really don't see what you are reaching for here...  Are you upset with those that come out to the streets in a drunken ramble while you too are in the middle of a drunken ramble?  And then you would like to see persecutions for those that interupt your boring story to tell theirs?

We have been up and down a similar road many many many times.  The conclusion on each turn has pretty much been, anyone can do anything they want and say anything they wish as long as it does not directly insult someone.  So if a drunk comes by and cuts you off to talk about how much he loves his whiskey, so be it.

To add onto what Advantage has said, if you and your friend wish to recount your swashbuckling stories without any interruptions, maybe going to a private bar is a better idea. Anyone can say nearly anything in public bars, that's their right to speak.

Please, lets not use the word 'right', we don't operate under a constitution here.

I realize we do not operate under a constitution in this thing of ours. There are no set rights in the underworld. But like I said, in a public bar where civilians and criminals congregate, everyone has the right to speak. Anyone can open their mouth and talk. That's why it's public. What they speak about may or may not be a different story, depending on the circumstance.

We all have the "right" to speach and have our say, surely we should have repect for those that are speaking at the time and allow hem to finish before any opinion is offered???

Joey_Cesari was walking down the street when he sees a crowd gathered having a debate. He walks up to the crowd and notices that the soap box is open. He finishes his cigar and then steps up onto the box and begins to speak.

Hello everyone. I think I would have to say that I agree Advantage also. Seeing as it was a public bar there isn't really much you can do about drunks except like was mentioned before go to a more private area. So I think you really only have two choices if you go to the public bar anyway and you get interupted by a random drunk either ask them to kindly leave you alone which will probobly not work, or you can let them put in their two cents worth and when they start to make no sense and are making an ass out of themselves, use it to make them look even worse. Get the rest of the crowd to join in with you and maybe when they sober up and hear about what an ass they were being in front of everyone else they will calm it down a little bit. Other then that I can't really offer anything else. Well that is my little bit to add in have a nice day.

Joey_Cesari then steps down from the soap box and pulls another cigar from his pocket. He lights the cigar and finds a place to sit and listen to the rest of the opinions being offered.

And a tiny bit it was, itty bitty, super small, miniature even. Hehe, just kidding Mr. Cesari, but next time up the volume to font #3 so we can hear you clearly.

Sam walks off.

Greywolf listens very carefully to what is being said and stands once more on the saop box.

"Ahem. Surely it is just a matter of respect. Whether or not you are in a public place, we have to be accountable for our actions and what we ay or have said. Of course we all have our own opinions on things, but let someone finish what they have said and if you disagree with what has been said bring it up at the end. I cannot see any reason to be disrespectful and then think you can get away with it because you are "drunk". "That just sounds like a ame excuse for being disrespectful".

Greywolf steps down and stands byu a lamp post waiting to what opinions are going to come next.

Al passes several opinionated people and hears a question raised. After listening, he says:  "Two thing's - The word for the day is "swashbuckling"." Al looked on with a straight face and addressed Zeus and Mr Advantage... " It is common for people to see a business and just walk in rambling without hearing the stories being told. I have had this happen to me before and though I didn't shout it out over the rooftops as to how frustrating it was, I just continued my story telling and all was well. I hope I wasn't interrupting here!"

Al continued on following the cloud of refer smoke left by Marley, making a check off his list of good deeds for the day...

I agree with you Mr Greywolf. Anyone who cites being drunk as an excuse for interrupting and not listening to the full story is being disrespectful. It is not an excuse, but can sometimes give other listeners some amusement, especially if the speaker is not that coherent.

I'd give him a bloody face and once he realizes his hands are red he might not be so drunk anymore.

Greywolf turns nd looks at Alfonse. "I also agree with what you have said Mr Alfonse. However, as much as it lightens other peoples day with their drunken outburst, perhaps they should be made aware of their error the next day an be held accountable for what problems it may have caused. It is a public place after all, but in my opinion you have to be accoutable drunk or not." With that Greywolf steps back into the crowd and waits to see what comments are voiced after his little speech.
