well, the idea is to see how many people have actualy viewd the thread along with the number of people who posted in it...

would make it easy to know if people actually vewd it and not only know how many have posted in it!

I can't honestly see what benefit this would give to anyone, other than making them think that their thread isn't worth replying to. You can pretty safely assume that all active street speakers have viewed your thread (everybody reads them whether they reply or not), so honestly I am failing to see any positives to this.

I can only see this making people say 'I know you've read it, why won't you reply?!?!'.

Unless I am missing something here and someone can see a positive to this, I would give this a big no.

the actual benefit of this is when a newcomer comes up and makes a post it would encourage him to make another if he finds out that many people have read it even though they did not reply. and that will encourage him to make another post. and not just go "damn no one replied... no one cares... why bother make another!"

and IF someone had anything to say about that specific thread i believe they would ether reply negatively or just warn the guy via MM...

This is basically what Afro said, if people spend a lot of time, or any time at all, writing a speech that they have put effort into. Only to find that loads of people read it, or even that no one read it and more so that nobody bothered reply to it, i'd say that this would not encourage them to create another thread. It is likely to dishearten them as their view would seem "Irrelevant"

A big no from me also, as i don't believe it has any positive impact on the game itself or the users.
