| Casino Has No Money | Started by: JohnHerbert on May 29, '10 21:54 |

I seen in the past, going to play in a casino to find out I can as it says "bankrupt". I think this should change. This wouldn't have a huge impact with the overall game, but would have a huge impact on casino owners.
I know we all played at the casino at someone. Rather your like me, winning half a mill just to keep betting and losing it all or small amounts here or there. My idea is simple. If he owner does not have the funds in the bank to pay out the winning, the person that won the bet would win the casino. This meaning the person that owned the casino couldn't afford to pay the winner, so the winner now owns the casino.
I would like to know what you think of this, its a change I think is good because I believe if your going to pay millions to buy one, it should be open at all times. |

This could never work mainly because of an "out of towner" wouldn't own a casino outside of his or her own city. Secondly, the fact that usually casino ownership is reserved for GF's and underbosses. I think the fact that they lost it by going bankrupt is punishment enough. |

I agree with Alfonse, under your proposal, the user who can't be paid his winnings will therefore be 'awarded' the casino. This would mean that the new owner would more than likely lack the sufficient funds to own and keep a casino running. So this would mean the casino not being able to pay out and the casino would be passed on once more. In my opinion there is no point to this as the casino would be changing hands every five minutes and would still be permenantly out of use just the same as if it goes bankrupt. |

That's the undertaking JohnHerbert, if a person takes the responcibility of a casino on, then they are well aware of the risks involved. Unfortunately, the casino closes and the owner looses out. There are other factors involved when they reach a negative balance, but I will not go into the specifics of that. |

This suggestion makes no RP sense at all. In the real world, if a casino goes bankrupt, you just don't get your money. You don't automatically get the deed to the casino. |

this isn't the best idea but going on from it maybe they should lose there casino or it gets hidden so you can't go into it until they get say 5mill or some other number |

So,you're suggesting that you possibly make a 100k bet and win,but the casino has no cash,so you win the 22 million dollar casino? Even if this was considered,it's impossible, because I believe when the casino is broke, you cant even access the casino page, but I may be wrong. |
