I just wanted to take a moment while we play our games and enjoy our freedoms to thank all the men and women who have served our countries and honor those whome we've lost in war. I come from a family who's members many served in different branches of the US military my father, my uncle, and my grandfather, all of which returned home safely.

 Unfortunately that is not always the case and many of you may have family who did or did not return from war and I humbly honor them on this day. Please feel free to share any stories or pay homage to loved ones here in this thread (even if your country is not recognizing today as Memorial day) share any stories you may have. One of my stops today is the national memorial cemetary where my uncle, grandfather and my mother rest in peace. It is home to many veterans and casualties of war where I live.

There are also many veterans and fallen hero's in this thing of ours - Please feel free to give an honorable mention if you happened to know them.

 Please do not disrespect this thread as this is a day of remembrance for many.

Both my brother and I served in the UK forces and had the privelidge and pleasure of working alongside US troops.

We both know the pain of having lost close comrades and we pray for those who have lost loved ones.

I have 3 uncles killed in Vietnam so memorial day is always special to my family.

I've known many friend go to war, and the respect i have for them is the highest of high. I tip my hat to all service men and women!!! thank you!!

My 2 cousins just got back from the iraq war, and my uncle went to baghdad, iraq in 2004 and they all returned home safely but my uncle had a few friends he made during his time in iraq who lost their lives.

Respect to all who have served in any war!
